I'm really not too familiar with it. Is it an indoor flea market / antique mall? What do they have there?

what's your "day strategy"? do you go like the first day to see everything or do you go later to get better deals? i just found out in July that parking is free on the last day.....been going for years and never knew...lol

I usually go Thurs, Friday and or Saturday. A lot of fields and vendors don't open on the first day or two. I've never gone on a Sunday. Didn't know they had free parking. Thanks for the info!

Love your flea market videos Tom! Thank you for showing the Halloween stuff and Jadeite dishes. Those are my favorites! I’m always amazed by the Geiger counter readings! Several of my Jadeite pieces glow under UV light so I wonder what the Geiger counter would show.

The Fire King marked jadeite pieces don’t glow but the Jeanette Glass and the McKee pieces glow. They usually aren’t marked. Maybe test them with your UV light first to see if they glow, then test them with the Geiger counter.

I Googled radioactive fiesta-ware...and wonder why you like it and do you use it with food? Seemed like it could be a health issue. Not judging you, just curious, as it's something I never knew about until your channel. Another fun walk through Brimfield with you, tks. I'm hoping to get to the Sept. one.

I do not eat off it, that would possibly not be safe. However, it's safe to handle. I find it fascinating. It's hard to say why exactly, but I'm not alone. A lot of people collect radioactive Fiesta Ware.

Yes, they did used to eat off it. They were sold mostly in the 30's and 40's before the danger of radiation was fully understood.

If only "flea market" had the same meaning these days as it did 30 years ago where you could go in and find something that was priced MUCH lower than it was worth... thx to the internet, I'm pretty sure you aren't finding any rare items for cheap at these places any longer..

I have my own small collection of button pins...I saw the same "Smoking Stinks" one I have just as you cut away...that white one with flowery writing in the last pass through you made, lol. I don't have any of old businesses as you said. I do have a Woodstock one, not that I went...an older cousin, who also didn't go to Woodstock, gave it to me. I've looked them up on Ebay...not worth anything.

I've done Brimfield several times over the past 40 years. I find it amazing what people are selling and buying, ie what I would consider 'junk'. One time I started out a 8 AM and didn't find anything I was interested in until 4 PM then all of sudden it seemed every vendor had something I wanted for a great price. From time to time you will find a vendor that has something truly valuable going for pennies on the dollar. For example a vendor had an umbrella basket of Knights of Columbus swords and other ceremonial type swords. Mixed in with those swords was an authentic rare American Revolutionary War horseman's saber with a price of $40. It was worth about $7,000. Conversely, an inaccurate 1970's reproduction of a British Revolutionary War military pewter button that is currently available for 75 cents was marked for sale at $400 which is a reasonable price for an authentic button of that era. The vendor apparently couldn't tell the difference between authentic and reproduction. The stuff is out there, you just need to be knowledgeable about what you are looking at.

I've also gone to flea markets and found almost nothing, and then the next time I go, I fill up the trunk of my car. You never know what you're going to find, which is what I like most about flea markets. Hunting for treasures!
