I visited Yorktown twice over the last ten years. It always impressed me how close Yorktown was to where the British first settled in Jamestown. The beginning and the end of British rule almost within walking distance.

Isn’t Oct 19th, 1781 the day the British Army marched out to surrender field and laid down their arms?
