We have been there. We were told that the stop sign at the edge of the road by the second seize line is the area where they believe Cornwallis surrendered his flag to Washington. Thanks for sharing 😊

I walk my dog along the 2nd siege line every morning. It really is a great place to be.

Such a fascinating video. So many interesting things you covered very well. Those mortars are gnarly and General Washington’s tent and HQ. Well done. 🇺🇸

Yearning for the day I can finally get to visit Yorktown. I did not know there was a unknown grave of french soldiers on the battlefield.

I absolutely love that area. Such a great battlefield to visit. Easy to navigate and the grave was a neat find.

This battlefield deserves equal reverence to Gettysburg, symbolizing Washington's selfless perseverance to ultimate victory.

Agreed. It’s a very important place that deserves more attention.

When Washington was defeated at Brooklyn Heights he managed to evacuate the army under cover of darkness and a fog. Cornwallis tried to do the same at Yorktown which would have saved his army long enough for Clinton to save him. But a storm made that impossible.
