A policy holder has died and the insurance company is having trouble finding the beneficiary.
Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar is a radio drama that aired on CBS Radio from February 18, 1949 to September 30, 1962.
The first several seasons imagined protagonist Johnny Dollar as a private investigator drama. In 1955 after a yearlong hiatus, the series came back in its best-known incarnation with Bob Bailey starring in "the transcribed adventures of the man with the action-packed expense account - America's fabulous freelance insurance investigator."

The actress was who played Broderick was fantastic. She was so natural and believable. She brought character to life. I’ve listened to a lot of these Johnny Dollar radio shows on KZbin. She’s in a league of her own. I wonder if she had a successful career in movies or tv.

Bob Bailey was the very best to play Johnny Dollar. He made it his own! I have listened to nearly every Johnny Dollar episode. Great guest stars such as Parley Baer, Howard NC NcNear ( both later featured on the Andy Griffith Show), Harry Bartell, Wilbur Hatch, Virginia Gregg, Bill Conrad, Vincent Price and so many others. When it comes to Old Time Radio shows this series is on par with Richard Diamond and of course the current contemporary Harry Nile Radio series. Keep up the good work

Great writing. Succinct. I have no problem learning he also wrote for "Have Gun, Will Travel." Same concept; different century. Mysteries seem to have to have "bad girls;" not that easy to describe their actions or give them dialogue.

I think I've heard Gerald Mohr as Johnny, too. Bailey is actually a better choice for the role, because Gerald Mohr was too sexy and silky. That theme is perfect for any soap opera, or "Dark Shadows.". Pure cheese!

James Bond had an 'action-packed expense account'. Not so sure about Johnny, with his miserly little claims. He really should put down the orchestra's wages.
