So much stuff has changed ever since the end island revamp, because this forgotten mage setup for hypixel skyblock dungeons is surprisingly really good for what it is. Turning a 20m coin armour set and a 1m coin sword into a setup powerful enough to solo floor 6 is kind of crazy, especially since most of what people are using nowadays has a similar cost but the EHP is usually a problem. Mage has always notoriously been a squishy class, but with this setup, it's not as bad anymore

QUICK TIP. You can remove the "This creature is immune to this type of damage!" messages with the help of some mods. I know Patcher has a feature called "Compact Chat" which condenses all the messages into 1 line, and LabyMod has a special Chat Filter that lets you filter out the messages entirely. I've tried to write out how to do this about 6 times now but KZbin keeps deleting my pinned comments so sadly you'll have to figure it out yourself or contact me through a different means

Let's also not forget that he was soloing f1 and f2. In a normal party of 5 people, you won't have to do all the work for yourself, and blessings will only increase your damage and survivability. Overall, it's a really good mage setup for its price

This is very true! I didn't include it in the video because it takes 30 minutes to do, but I have soloed F3 with the exact same setup as well. If you are using a full team it's going to be much easier and much more efficient, I just went in solo to show the capability on its own

hey, i just have a general tip. If you dont have sup armor and different armor, i rec to use aotd and dreadlord. As if you are fighting a miniboss with lot of other mobs nearby use the dreadlord to clear mobs and then use AOTD to kill miniboss

Superior will help you alot outside and inside dungeons as superior can live on inside dungeons once starred and can actually be compared with sa as superior will have wayy higher ehp and you can also use superior with beserk/archer/mage very good set!

I always used the spirit sceptre with wither goggles (before nerf) with 1/2 necromancer lord & max perfect chestplate with sheep pet, fixed the problem of defence but still my intel was a bit missing. Would've been good to know this strat in earlier floors though lol

One small note about it being hard to upgrade from wise armor before storm, if you have a decent cata lvl you can probably get a comp with a party in 3/4 necrolord and shadow or wither goggles, making it viable enough imo, I actually did that and it worked very well

For raw damage, yes, but renowned gives you better ehp, speed and other stats. It stacks really nicely with the superior set bonus too which is why I recommend it. Reforges are more of a preference thing so it just comes down to what you want I guess I should mention this too, but ancient/fierce is the better option for LCM damage

As an end game player i recommend to add necrotic on ur armor loving on ur chestplate and heroic on ur sword (only if ur playing mage lol) cuz in mage crit dmg and strength doesnt matter as much those other reforge matter

I got a 3/4 5* perfect armor Tier XII with shadow goggles also 5* also all armor parts have 10 hot potato books each, the shadow goggles are smart, the perfect chestplate is pure, the perfect leggings are necrotic and the perfect boots are giant reforged. (All armor pieces have wisdom 3) My weapon set up consists of a legendary glacial scythe 5* 10 hot potato books on it as well as 5 fuming potato books and the sharp reforge also it has apart from a few others enchants also ultimate wise 5. I also carry an AOTE for teleports only cuz the damage sucks but it has also ultimate wise 5. I carry an artisanal shortbow with me just for the blaze room and my third weapon is the AOTD to keep enemies on a distance if I'm in a bunch and can't think fast enough with the scythe I use the ability dragon rage in a circle around me to push them away so the knockback is actually helping me. It also has 5* 10 hot potato books, it has the fabled reforge and ultimate wise 5 too. Then my other equip is just a bunch of decoys if I'm doing F4, a radiant power orb, Superboom TNT, a defuse kit, spirit leaps sometimes 1 or 2 dungeon pots and ofc my dungeon orb. Although I can also use my orb ability with my weapons but the dungeon starter guy wont let me ready up until I got an orb in my inventory and I don't want my mates to wait 30 seconds or so just cuz I got no orb in my inv. My base stats in dungeons are somewhere between 2700-2900HP, 2900-3100 Defense and 2000-2200 Mana. I go through F5 like ez except for the boss fight cuz my glacial scythe doesn't do like 1m dmg per hit. F6 mobs are more of a challenge and the boss fight is just above my level and skill. If the bats are focused on the decoys I can even carry F4 with it, I must admit it's pretty hectic but I can do it.

I'd recommend getting a Voodoo Doll no matter what class you use, but this set up is awesome. In fact Voodoo Doll would work great with the pseudo weapon lock situation. Thanks for the video!

Idk if this vid talks bout ironmans but if you don't , its as expensive to go 3/4sa juju and you won't change armor until F7 and the weapon can carry u though mm floors ( need good skills & mp to be really efficient )

I don't really cover ironman since it is a bit niche, but this is very true. Superior is roughly the same cost as shadow assassin (usually it's cheaper, but not by much) and it has more EHP but a little less damage. Works extremely well for everything including F7, though I think it starts to fall off in M1. Ideally you swap to Necron armour after you get your first F7 completion though, so it's really only used for the first clear, or until you can afford Necron.

Ultimate Wise 5, Sighted Power Stone, Heroic Reforge, Sheep Pet and other mana boosting/mana reduction things. It's not that difficult and it's also only an extra 3ish mil or so, which you should be using as a mage regardless of the armour/setup you have

I have been using a AOTD for a while, but it has never had that white attack line that im seeing in this video while in the dungeon and i have essentially the same stuff. Is there a pet that gives that ability or is there a talisman for it? Either way, i cant replicate the results in the video

It's just a really risky setup, mage isn't made for face tanking and that's what the setup encourages. You probably just need to get a higher catacombs level, and then use a dreadlord sword + aotd. Also the money for superior can be better spent

You don't need to complete the dungeons to use the reforges, you just need the mining level. If you're an ironman player, use Renowned (or fierce/wise) before you can get Loving, then swap the chestplate reforge to Loving. Ancient I'd not recommend until later game LCM if you want to specialise in LCM, though Necrotic I would recommend for RCM if you don't want to use Renowned.

It does a lot less DPS and has less EHP, Superior is much stronger than you thought. Also assuming that 30m = f5 completion is silly too, because on my chaos profile I had around 50m before I even touched dungeons.

Superior is not early game esp with renowned in short its 42k zealots per piece. So around 294k total zealots for renowned and superior, if you get NO DUPES WHATSOVER.

I'm personally using what's in this video on my Chaos Profile and it's worked wonders to solo all of the floors so far (I'm up to F6, and can definitely solo it with a little practice)

I use the Sighted Reforge, Heroic on my weapons, a Sheep Pet, Ultimate Wise 5 and my armour is reforged to 3/4 Renowned with a Loving Chestplate. I might be missing something, but that's the setup (and in the footage, I was cata 12, mage 12)

Sighted Reforge for talismans, Heroic reforge for gear and if you reallyyyyyy need it, Necrotic/Wise reforge on Superior with a Loving Chestplate. There might be other ways, but these are the main ones.

Yeah SA + Livid is the typical berserker setup that everyone uses, though this video is obviously catered more towards mage. The funny thing is that superior + aotd + glove is also a really solid berserker setup with more EHP than SA, it's just one people don't really recognise. I'm unsure of whether I wanna cover it in a video or not though but I guess we'll see.

I mentioned this too! Wise works fine though it can be a bit squishy and harder for some players to use. I just want to bring the superior setup to light as it's a little bit pricier, but provides way more EHP which might make it easier for some people to survive in F1-3

I'm surprised you didn't mention Glacial Scythe in the upgrades to Spirit Scepter. Probably more worth using than Midas and Yeti because it's such a safe option. You might be able to still use Superior with it alongside AOTD if you have a Dwarf Turtle Shelmet and Voodoo Doll, but I haven't quite tested it. Even though I'm far past this stage of the game, I really do love watching the comparisons so if someone really does want to ask me for advice, I can give them a better answer.

Yes I agree, in my opinion the yeti sword is better than the glacial scythe and 100m Midas however that is just my opinion. I know a few people who like the glacial scythe more and it simply is just a very good weapon. Definitely should be in the guide

This is an interesting comment, because I knew about the Glacial Scythe when recording but I've never actually used one or tested it. Could make for a standalone video on the weapon itself, though I'm completely unsure. If it's anything like the Frozen Scythe it'll probably get out-dps'd by the AOTD but be better in the clear, so I think you're right here.

Yeah, no. I used to use both, sceptre for clear and glacial scythe for minis and boss room. Sceptre outdamaged the glacial scythe on EVERYTHING, and the only useful part was the slow. Even then, you can get an ice spray, which costs less, completely freezes any hit mobs, and increases damage dealt to frozen mobs.

There's already a small cooldown to prevent auto clicking, so I think it'll be fine. It's not dumb OP by any means, it's just a solid weapon :)

I am an early mage and I play floors 1-3 usually my setup is wise chestplate and leggings with a bonzo mask and spirit boots all 5stared and I use a spirit scepter although bonzo staff would work pretty well. It’s a great setup that gives tons of mana and EHP and would cost aboutn30m with the spirit scepter but would only cost about 12m with a good bonzo staff instead

I use an alt account that's in limbo and then queue into the run. Since the alt is in limbo, it doesn't get into the dungeon but I do. You can do this with a friend or find a 'fragbot' to do it for you, there are plenty of accounts out there you could use

I said I recorded this on the chaos profile, which is very very accurate to the average 'early gamer' or 'mid gamer'. I had just barely over 200mp and items achieveable within a few months of playtime, so I'd argue everything was entirely fair.

I did f1 with a setup that cost under 5m, and any floor up to f5 can easily be done with setups that cost well under 30m. This setup is unnecessary for pretty much anything. Also you can clear f7 in 3/4 shadow assassin. The only difficult part of the floor is the boss, and this setup is next to useless for that part of the run.

Spirit sceptre can hit multiple enemies at once and is cheaper so you can save up for yeti or spoon

That's just the mage left click ability. When you select the mage class in dungeons and left click with any weapon, it shoots out a "mage beam"

I paid 3m for it on my grind to alch 50. Alchemy 50 is also possible to get with 6m profit (as I've done this myself), soooo no, it's not expensive for early game, you just have to know what you're doing

The AOTD ability doesn't deal damage do bosses or mini bosses. However, it does deal damage to the normal mobs, like skeleton soldiers.

Wouldnt it be better to use a mana reforge like necrotic/loving vs ancient or renowned bc endgame lcms use ancient storm. So half mana half meelee

I covered this in the video already, but I suggest 3/4 renowned and Loving on the Chestplate. Renowned's ability is soooo good with the superior set bonus, but you can use Ancient instead of Renowned for LCM, or Necrotic for RCM damage. It's ultimately just personal preference

im on ironman so personally this set ran me back around 35M by the way Me personally for f7 i played lcm and just got 4/4 Full necrotic /loving Shadow assassin a Livid dagger and spirit scepter. clear was easy because i could switch to sheep pet and have like 5k mana and i can just use my rogue sword spam tp get 400 speed look at the floor and spam sceptre This automatically clears like every room for me EXCEPT WITHERMANCERS and because I am so fast i kill the mobs before they even react I am cata 26 and when i killed mini bosses I used tiger pet and a dirty livid dagger my dps was better with livid dagger against minibosses then aotd and I was able to melt f7 minis. At the start of the dungeon I would do like 6-8m a hit with my lcm and with ferocity i melted any miniboss, and the funniest thing is that during the boss fight during the damage phases I was still keeping on par with the cata 28 necron juju nons LOL. Progression: dont start unless you have what i just listed If you have more money and can get better setup 3/4 storm golden head everything on ancient Shadow fury Legendary tiger Legendary sheep Glacial scythe or even a yeti sword for clear and ice spray wand

Sighted Power Stone (Ender Monocle item, about 80k total on bazaar). I also use Ultimate Wise 5 on the AOTD, a level 100 Legendary Sheep pet and I've got Heroic on the AOTD. Just a bunch of standard mana reduction/mana boosting items to supplement the mage playstyle, which you should have regardless of whether you use superior/wise/necrolord/adaptive etc.

Lvl 100 sheep is way too expensive for this setup. You're better off using mage until you can get sa and switch to bers then archer. That's my go-to speedrun progression

I love the video although I am actually using this setup for berserker rn because I can only manage 500 mana with god potion which I can’t use in dungeons lol. I’m about to get myself a glove rn bc I spent all my money on a renowned superior set and I also have to grind talisman for magical power. Now that I think of it I need to do a lot of grinding 😂

If you're struggling with mana, get yourself the sighted reforge (Ender Monocle, about 80k on bazaar) as that will help you out a LOT. You can also pair the setup with a sheep pet and reforge your main weapon to Heroic, as all these things will provide intelligence + ability damage. You can also go for alchemy 50 and enchanting 60, and I'll have an alchemy 50 guide coming out soon to help you get that as cheap as possible

You can reforge to necrotic + loving on the chestplate, but I prefer renowned + loving. The reason for this is purely because renowned stacks with superior's set bonus, though you can use Necrotic to get more intel and more mage damage if you don't want the bonus ehp, speed, etc.

Nah because ultimate wise 5 and the sheep pet ability makes the mana costs super low, and using intel reforges gives you enough to deal with all mobs just fine. You can see how I deal with mobs in the dungeon in the dungeon section of the video
