It must be a genetic combination that is happening between the two parents that has caused both children to be born with this illness. It is such a rare illness that coincidence of them having two children with progeria is just far too unlikely to actually happen. The parents (although seemingly healthy) must have some DNA that is causing the cell mutation to have two kids with progeria.
@Candicedickinsonllc6 жыл бұрын
D. Hull ....obviously it’s a genetic change ...it’s a genetic disorder
@rachelel90876 жыл бұрын
D Hull, I know what you're saying and I totally agree. The parents should offer to be genetically studied, because clearly there is something very prevalent in both of their DNAs, that when combined, creates the progeria mutation. The odds for both children having it must be off the charts.
@DHU116 жыл бұрын
simplycbh I literally just said that what are you on about
@pheobeclark73506 жыл бұрын
progeria is not hereditary at all, it is a genetic mutation caused after birth. It's unlikely to be siblings with it but of course possible. I think there are two or three other pairs of siblings with progeria?
@DHU116 жыл бұрын
Meghan Waldron There are no other cases of NON multiple birth siblings with progeria. This is either an extreme and unlucky coincidence or something of a bad combination of their particular genetics. It’s just how rare the occurrence of having two kids with progeria is that throws me into thinking it must be something they’re genetics are doing when combined

@degiilandir63142 жыл бұрын
When you look different and society doesn't accept you, it's hard to live like everyone else, These people and I live most of our lives alone, people laugh at us, observe us, oppress us. at some point you realize that this is just how your life looks and will look like this. The only thing we can do is ignore other people, live for our family and make our dreams come true by ourselves. If someone accepts us, it's nice, but for example, I've been ridiculed and insulted by other people all my life. Every day is a nightmare for me. I leave home for work and people just stare and laugh. Same at work. I look different than everyone else and I understand that for someone my face may seem funny, ugly and disgusting but you don't have to treat me like some alien. If it wasn't for my parents, I would have committed suicide a long time ago. I cry every day and I can't deal with the problems but I don't want to hurt them.

@@degiilandir6314 I just saw this. This story is powerful as well as heartbreaking. There are so many other's out there that truly go through so much more than we could possibly fathom. These siblings being 2 of them! Their strength is admirable, and the strength of their parents as well. Does anyone know how these two are doing as of late? I hope they both outlive their 30's and well into their 60's or 70's. I do wonder though, if they were to make it to older age. What would the effects be on their bodies? The quality of life? I'm so glad to see them living the best they can, and striving to be the best they can be and as happy as they can be. Such a heart warming story of the love between a brother and sister who share the same illness.

These two are such an inspiration. One part of me wants to feel pity for them, being born with this condition and all of the challenges that come with it. But there are always 2 different perspectives to life. I see these 2 as great role models, who can teach us so much about how best to live our lives each day, and live in the moment, and stop spending so much time worrying about past or future, which, for them, may not even be! Yet, they are LIVING! As all of us CAN DO AS WELL! I hope these 2 will set world records for longest life span, and get their names printed in the Guinness Book of World Records one day!

To know that the oldest was 26 and he's 20 , must really really scare him deep inside because he's getting close to 26. Little fact: *the person who lived to 26 died unexpectedly! He was perfectly fine. No medical problems except what he's been dealing with all his life. He woke up one morning and then collapsed and died on the way to Hospital*

I feel so bad for these people and hope that they live as long as possible. This just brakes my heart to know that... not everybody is able to look the best, to know that they can’t look normal. I wish those two a better future. I wish everyone with a disability a better future.

I feel like it's a blessing that both children have Progeria ❤ Cause they can show each other support & love & relate because they have the symptoms & it brings them even closer as siblings ❤❤ It's heartbreaking they are in pain & age faster but the way they look at life is beautiful & it's inspiring 💕 Thank you guys for sharing
