No company is forced to sell its products in the EU. Of course losing the market of 450 million wealthy customers can hurt, but still it's the free choice of the companies.

Making rules takes a lot of time and money, if the EU does this well, the others will take over, it has already been made and costs almost nothing. Rest assured that if rules were introduced that the US did not like, pressure would be exerted. Big Tech also follows the rules, they regularly receive fines from the EU, but I think they are quite satisfied with their work.
