Throughout the centuries there have been a number of prominent people who became close to the monarchies of different countries. But one of the strangest was Grigori Rasputin who became a healer to the Russian Royal Family. Rasputin was believed to have been a mystic, and he became close with Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandria when he made Alexei their son better, following a bleeding episode. But then he became an advisor to the royal family, and in this role he was believed to have had a huge amount of power over the Emperor and his wife.
But eventually, Rasputin would fall from grace and despite surviving an assassination attempt he would be killed in 1916. A group of conspirators led by Prince Yusupov inside of the Moika Palace lured Rasputin to his demise, but his death was one which was strange, bizarre and downright crazy.
