This is true in a lot of ways, and it doesn’t help that we’re dealing with a migrant crisis here in America, because I strongly feel like these companies are even thriving as a result because they know they can get away with paying them less because they know that these migrants come from countries where they are lucky to make $2-3 in a day. The companies also bank on it because they know that migrants don’t have leverage like the citizens.

@@kalaplays3463 Police reports aren't convictions. I could make a police report against you, and that doesn't prove you did anything wrong. I'll repeat: YOU picked him. It's irresponsible to make children with someone you don't intend to stay married to, at least until the children are grown....and that applies to both parents. I'm sorry, sweetheart..... I don't buy the "He's abusive" story...... it's much too commonly used to "get a leg up" in custody and divorce cases. Hey man. I'm really busy now but when times were hard for me I always watched your videos for some "real talks". Honestly, people are too focused on money in this society. Money is literally just a number. We need more creativity, honesty, truth, love, and community in this world. I have gotten really busy lately and I need to make every cent count but I am going to make the largest impact I can in our shared hometown (I was born and raised in Toronto too). I’m doing a stressful job right now I’m am 34. But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m living hell with these kinds of jobs I understand why this woman is having a breakdown. That was not out of rudeness or anything but these young men and woman are suffering and in most cases they end up being depressed. People shouldn’t have to suffer we should all have a great life no matter who you are. Everyone deserves a great life. And I don’t understand why these bosses at these companies or factories are being such jerks these people who are young have never had experienced this in there entire life’s. As I said yes I’m still young but I have experienced this for about 13 years so I know how miserable it is. And what is life without a meaning because if you work a 9-5 job then you don’t get to see your family for pretty much the whole day. And usually people retire around the ages of 53-60 so if they have to experience that for 20+ years then I would be depressed and sad. Thank god that I’m not working a 9-5 job. Plus life is short you can die at any time not to get anyone scared but it’s true. But the main reason god gave us a life is for us to have a great one not have a miserable this is a lesson for lots of young people and I hope everybody has a great life instead of a miserable one.

This is what happens when humans are raised with phones and technology providing instant gratification and escapes. I noticed this new generation cant sit still at the easiest jobs, a lot of them don’t want to work because of some self diagnosed mental issues like adhd. Their problem is they see online lifestyles and they want fast money. Im 29, one of the last millennials and grew up pre phone and internet but also having access to these things as a teenager so I feel the gen z relation. Having a job sucks but i was always hungry for good work and good pay and ive spent time in several jobs including a 9 to 5 and took every elevated opportunity as time went on. Its life and i do spend time on my side hustles to make doing what i enjoy for a living in the future. Real talk, you will have to learn to eat a little shit in life to get where you truly want to be, its just your level of patience that will make this a breeze or feel like you’re painfully running the gauntlet. I also came across a vlog about how theyre embarrassed to have a job. This is crazy to me.

the fact of the matter is that college degrees don't have as much weight as they did 10-20 years ago especially when so many skills and knowledge can be learnt from the comfort of your own home. not to mention simply having a degree with good grades isn't gonna cut it anymore. you need to learn new skills as well as do project and internships to gain experience. colleges have failed to realise this, rather its not that they haven't realised this, its just that they purposefully don't acknowledge this and change because their entire existence is based on the fact that everyone needs a college degree. colleges need to focus more on students doing assignments and projects where they actually need to utilise their knowledge and solve problems. not simply grind through your class notes and textbooks and score some grade. don't get me wrong tests and exams do still matter as but society in general has to stop treating grades like its the gold standard for dictating whether you're eligible or not to be in the industry. i've noticed that many companies during an interview only ask for basic knowledge of what you know and the rest is mostly about any projects or interships you've done

It’s a long story but in the very beginning (orientation specifically) for 4 weeks I had to wake up at 3 AM, have breakfast, do my routine, then drive 45 minutes to the plant and back home. Was it brutal? In the beginning, yes. But was it worth it for a job that’s intense, but pays fucking stacks? ABSOLUTELY. But that was just the start. As of now, I’m driving the mail truck everywhere throughout my town, with multiple trays of envelopes, catalogs, packages. Despite the hardest things I’ve gone through, I’m still grinding, and learning.

Internet created this mentality. Before the internet existed, you couldn't film yourself and go online to complain about every single issue in life. I was only surrounded by positive people who were hard workers who were giving me great advice on how to be a good worker. Therefore, i have never seen work as something negative even when i work jobs i didn't really enjoy. However, now you only see negative posts online when it comes to work. Nowadays, all those kids only watch kids becoming rich online, posts, etc. And all the kids want that to. No doubt nobody wanna work. Life is hard, and we can't all be youtubers, tik toker etc... we must have plumbers, electricians, constructors, military members, cops, nurses, doctors, etc.. Without them, this would go down the drain.

Life was easier , even working 8 hours shifts people still had quality of life that today is a privilege for a very few . Every wondered why drugs , depression , crime , healthy problems caused by obesity are skyrocketing ?

I've seen videos of the new work generation even taking their MOTHERS to the freaking job interview and then complaining that they never got the job. Rofl. But with people who need to commute because it's too expensive to live closer to your job, that's a huge problem. I've never had to do a long commute for work, but I can imagine that it's a nightmare and uses so much time that you spend your weekend sleeping and catching up on chores. Social life won't exist. Unfortunately, unless ppl manage to find either a closer job or a place to live that's more affordable & closer to work, I can't see things changing any time soon.

Speaking as someone who has legit health issues, I can work over 20 hours. The problem is it will likely lead to massive fatigue and chronic pain. Another problem I have is the people I work with are lazy and will be more than happy to take advantage of MY work ethic while they spend their shift on their phones. And the worst part is the supervisor actually enables this behavior.

At the job I'm working at I feel like a lotta people deal with this as I'm at a state park that's poorly managed to which the restraunt is failing. While my manager whose here running it, she's really cool and has integrity always out helping everyone out and whatnot. But HR are pretty much giving us the finger and suck, they really only just complain about labor and don't do anything about it but be outta touch. If it wasn't for these cool managers I don't know where I'd be. I say this cause my previous job one of the managers was a karen and the other was a douchbag who forced me out and pretty much left us to our devices yelling at petty things or mistakes. Update: Cool manager quit as did I and many people.

I would spend 11 hours working or doing work related things. One hour each way 2 hours , one hour for lunch 1 hour, 8 hours of work. I would come home and put on my apron and make dinner. After dinner I would go to bed and maybe read a book for a little while until I knew I had to go to sleep to be up at 5:30. It's not easy that lasted a year and four months because there was no raise for next year and my rent went up $100 each month. I had to move out of the city.

I remember the good old days when a 9-to-5 job was enough to support myself and a wife and kids. Now I have to run a side-hustle in addition to that 9-to-5 job to pull it off. On most days, I work the day job, spend some quality time with my family for a couple of hours, and then go to work on the moonlight business for a few hours before bedtime. When I see her cry and complain about her "9-to-5", I do not blame her, or anyone else in Generation Z. I blame all of their HORRIBLE parents for constantly affirming them (without challenging them) and failing to give them the crucial life skills and coping strategies. She desperately needs to develop a thicker skin, and catch up on what her parents failed to teach her. The world sucks right now, and it's only going to get worse for the next several years. It's going to be hard for a VERY LONG TIME, but Gen Z will eventually make it through and be stronger for it. Strong people create prosperous times. Prosperous times create weak people. Weak people create hard times. Hard times create strong people.

It sucks when you literally finish at 5 and the business you have to go to also closes at 5. So, now, you have to ask your employer to give you a dayoff so you could conduct your personal business-- which also takes out your own accrued PTOs or sick days. If you don't decide to take it out from your PTOs/ sick days, your paycheck will just look lesser at the end. That's why I rather work Tuesday to Friday and one of the days on weekend. So, on Mondays, I can take care my own personal business and on Saturdays, I can still attend events. Or I just work the night shift.

I'm still in my childhood home and am currently in line to inherit the house, but in my free time I do a lot of calculations on things I could do to save more money than I would spend like a rain collector which would be a very smart purchase for my location, my place gets a lot of natural sunlight so electricity won't be a problem to pay especially when i'm planning to downsize too... If I play my cards right I'll be able to turn a part-time job's minimum wage into a livable wage 🤔💵🏡

Was pleasently surprised by this. Honestly thought this would just be some guy crapping all over a young lass for "being privalliged". Instead you were fair, used common sense and didn't judge. From my personal experience, having worked 5 jobs in the last 12 years, I think 9-5 is ironically the least social hours you can get for a job. I've always prefered jobs where you work all morning or all evening. I'd rather have a whole morning or afternoon/evening free thrn have only a small part of my morning/evening free. Sure, 9-5 might work for some, but we aren't all the same...would be a boring planet if we were...

I'm sorry that these young people are having a tough time but does this generation think they are the only ones that have had to do this? I had to do this also. Maybe 9 to 5 used to pay the bills but I don't know of anyone that had that experience. I had to give up a lot to be where I am today.

I don't want to be that guy, but way too many people are too entitled and soft, people would kill for working at a 9 to 5 job on an office yet society as we know would fall if people stop working at oil rigs, construction and farming. I work at Amazon, it sucks? a little yes, does it pays the bills, sure as hell does and realistically speaking too much free time can only drive you mad just as it happened on quarantine. If doing actual work can scares you, remember that entrepreneurs work from the moment they wake up to the moment they sleep, either get some sort of degree and a work you like or just learn to deal with it. P.S: for most of my life I have been sort of "privileged" and did not had to do work until I was an adult, if I can somehow adapt to do the same work everyone does then there are no excuses other than being a wimp

9-5 jobs aren’t that bad. I’ve been working them since I was 16. I think the difficulty of them depends on what you are doing. If you love your job or love what you do then a 9-5 isn’t that bad. I also like to add that I’m not much of a social person either. I don’t like to spend money as well. I just work…
