you gotta wonder just... why?? Chris is barely in the game and his fursona doesn't even appear in game. The lycan's aren't just wolves so like... Whyy? You have 4 pretty cool looking Villains, and also Moreau I guess. Why not put them on the box art if they're really that afraid to show Ethan's Ben Shapiro looking ass face, or hell have Ethan looking away with the lords and Miranda bearing down on him or just.. Anything other than solumn Chris talking about how on all levels except physical he is a wolf

Basically, it was just some FMV quiz show game recorded over Spring Break in some place, where-in the women would flash the camera under certain circumstances (I assume it's if you get the correct answers). One of the women in that game lied about being of-age at the time of filming, thus making the game child you-know-what. I think she used fake ID for it, since I don't think the guy that made the game ever went to jail for it. The sleezy director eventually released a disc with just the FMVs to try and capitalize off of the controversy, but after that I don't think anyone's heard anything from him since.

I'm assume you're joking about Book Covers but honestly Books have it the worse because with Video games you can find modern stuff with good covers and a lot of them, with Books you're shit out of luck they have the most samey covers dark background, character or prop slightly transparent, title on top, author on bottom, and send it. That's how most books covers are today, now let's compare that to back in the day where they would draw a scene with a detailed background and our characters, sure they still fall into samey but at least they're doing something

Fun fact: Ken Levine, the director of BioShock and BioShock Infinite, deliberately had BioShock Infinite's box art changed to cater to the Call of Duty demographic, and the feedback was so overwhelmingly negative to how generic the box art was that the game shipped with a reversible cover, which showcased art much more emblematic of the final game. The same thing happened with DOOM 2016. As amazing as the game is, the box art was heavily criticized for being unremarkable, so the game shipped with another reversible cover, as did DOOM Eternal, though that might be to keep consistency.

I'm not sure about splatoon 1 but if you take out the box art cards for splatoon 2 and 3 and put them back in side out not only do you get a special alt covers to show of salmon run and hero mode but the spine of the box is designed to look like a splatoonified version of the regular spine with an inkling squid replacing the switch logo.

I feel like the god of war box art is an exception. The reason for that is due to the original box art showing Kratos’ battles but then the two new box art shows it’s more of an adventure and even shows the time gap between the two games. I feel like even though it’s the same pose, they evoke two different adventures.

Yeah standardized box art just makes everything look boring. The Uncharted series is amazing yet every game is just Nate standing there holding a gun with something happening in the background. Like cmon, have him take up less space and show the wrecked train/plane front and center and I guarantee it'll look more exciting. At the very least i'll give props to the Nathan Drake collection for the treasure map aesthetic it's box art has even if it is just Nate standing there again.

@@channel45853 I guess, the GTA style of cover art could work for Uncharted, but i'm also thinking how it was inspired by the likes of the Indiana Jones movies which have beautiful hand drawn posters which the Legacy Of Thieves collection replicates pretty well. Or they could go the route of the Resident Evil 0/4 PAL covers where there's a silhouette of the important object and then fill it with Nathan Drake collection's treasure map pattern. Don't get me wrong, the existing box art is pretty good, I just wish they looked a bit more eye catching since the series feels very special to me.
