I meant Josh at one of his shows.. He is as genuine and honest and humble. He's no fake. Talking to him is like you've known him for years. He's amazing and all his shows are incredible. Thanks Josh for the education and entertainment.

I remember realizing during his show about the Griffon that Renee de LaSalle saw has seen more of north America 350 years ago in a canoe before 40 than most people see in their lifetime.

One time on 60 minutes, Leslie Stahl was interviewing Bob Ballard who rediscovered the Titanic, and her last question to Bob was,,,"What do you think is your greatest discovery?" and I am sure that she and everyone who was watching the show would think that his answer would be "The Titanic", but what he said just blew my mind because I knew exactly what he was talking about. His answer was "It's the one I'm about to make!! Being a rock hound and a miner, you never know what you will find in the earth and that the next gem that you find is your greatest discovery. And I know from watching Josh's show, that he knows exactly at I am talking about.

I agree with your intro about Josh. Seems like a genuine, nice man. HOWEVER, he would be so much better should he ever learn to use the pronouns "our, we, and us". At least in my opinion. Should he stop saying things like "I discovered" or "I'm going to show" as if he is the excavator of, finder of, or scanner of sites it would enhance at least my enjoyment of his shows. I understand he has a bachelor in anthro but in the end, he is, after all, just a presenter. Oh, and likely a writer (ie, his "ownership of scholarship" he is not doing). Won't keep me from watching. To conclude, I love his shows and think he's genuinely a good person; perhaps just a bit full of himself at times. Drop the singular pronouns and replace them with plurals....it takes a team and Josh, you didn't discover, unearth, or analyze anything on these shows. Right?

The Great Wall of China is the biggest man made project ever… Mayans are very very interesting but their structures were not that big. Also there wasn’t human rights then so they could lose hundreds of thousands of people without any public outcry… people forget how good we have it.. most of our history average people were just killed and nothing could be done

Egypt....been there the minders there are terrible even hiring guides and producers there are all under the control of minders. For a nation with an economy that heavily relies on its tourism, they make it hard for tourist and explorers to enjoy anything and the rampant scammers working with some of the site coordinators and tourist offices...on top of that the lack of sanitation and overall cleanliness of the gaza sites...trash and built up sewer water everywhere.
