This is a very good "starter" drone. If you're new to drones and flying, you can buy this one and learn the basics for a decent price. When you're ready to start recording, buy a drone that's good for it. Also this one has a long flight time, which helps.

I paid about $148.00 USD but I bought the "FLY MORE" package as it's called and boy am I glad I did. For what it is andbwhat I need it for right now holy cow what an impressive little quad. After watching several YT vids, I finally broke down and bought the Mavic Mini ... and nearly lost it 3 times largely due it not having front or back sensors. And while $460, in the grand scheme of things, isn't a lot of money, losing it to a tree would have been down right painful. So with the 15% Best Buy "restocking" fee (about $75) in mind, I reluctantly returned it. I then purchased this one from Banggood. At checkout, it said to expect it by September 22nd, but it arrived within a week and a half. A nice surprise. It sure looks like a Mini - and from afar, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. But after flying the DJI, this is like going ten steps backward. It is so unstable even with the slightest breeze -- and even with no breeze -- like inside -- it cannot even hover on one spot. I have to constantly do inputs just to keep it from drifting. And the effort to return it -- which I'm sure they're banking on -- it's just not worth to go through all that effort to return it, in my opinion, of course. While I love Captain Drone's reviews -- especially when he's attired in a t-shirt and shorts :) -- there's should always be trepidation to purchase anything when the person doing the recommendation is receiving a commission of sorts -- even at low price points. No malice or disrespect intended CD. And keep in mind folks, this is not a toy. It can cause serious injury in the wrong hands -- especially this one. Anyways, I would NOT recommend it. If you're bent on getting one this size, save up or "bite the bullet" or just get one if $400, plus, is a breeze and get the Mini -- or one in a similar price bracket. It's worth the $. For me, however, the Air is the only logical next step.

@@gimpman1357 Same here, I got my EX5 among the first ones and I've not yet got Android App to work. Yes, it works for few minutes, then it crashes (on 5 different phones) and you need to shut down the quad to get it to work again. I didn't expect much from the camera, but video and photo quality looks like 512x384 with 8x8 boxes in it. But not being able to record anything (crash makes you to loose your video) or even being able to see the video coming from the quad, you end up flying line of sight. And there are far better and cheaper drones you can use for that.

They were testing some new software or upgraded software. This was a good sized drone. Altitude is 22,000 feet; Range is 18 miles; Cruising Speed is 40mph and I think he said it could fly for 2 hours.

I would be more concerned about the lack of SD card support, that most these companies seem to do with these cheaper drones. 3 axis gimbal is asking allot for a budget drone. while an SD card is within a reasonable expectation.

This is a pretty good quad for the buck. It has brushless motors AND optical flow sensor for all sake!! All other mini clones fall short next to this one. Now if they would have added just even a simple two-axis gimbal on this drone- it would be a done deal for me. I think Eachine did a great job with this one. And you as well with the video of course. Not having an SD card is a downer. Filming at 4K directly to your phone is going to eat up your battery storage space and your battery. I think its perfect for photography but not as much for video unless you’re only using it for FPV screen orientation, then it’s fine. Again for the price compared to an actual mini, you can fly it and have fun with it which the hobby is all about.

Pretty good drone for that price, under $200. Under 250 g and no license required. 20 frames a second though makes a chopping video. No 3 axis gimbal and you get the jello effects. But, for a fun drone on a calm day, it is what it is. If you want quality video it costs more money. EACHINE is an inovative company and one of my favourites. They put out a base model first, and in 6 months it has upgrades like the memory card and 2 axis gimbal at 24 frames with a price drop to $130. They do it all the time.

Can you please help. Just purchased this Drone. I like it very much. But I have problems with video recording. Only the down ward camera is recording to the phone memory, the main camera transmits video clips but does not record to the phone. only pictures from the main camera are stored on the phone memory. The 5GHz wifi connection (not 5G as Eachine try to say it is to mislead buyers) from your phone will not reach anywhere like that range. 802.11ac has a theoretical range of 250m, but real world conditions make it less than that in most situations. It might fly to 1000m, but you can't see it or receive video, so good luck with that...

It seems like a GPS version of the Eachine E68 advertised on Facebook (as Drone 2). You can't save to a micro card because it is not true 4K. It uses your cellphone to enlarge the blurry (720p?) image to a blurry 4K size. The Banggood product description says: "Video Resolution 1920*1080," so it is really exaggerated 4K. Unless you have a very high-end cellphone there will be freezing and frame-dropping, and the video footage is not very useable. The only good thing about the E68 is that the camera slides on a track and you can remove or re-position it. Put a $10 Q-cube spy camera there, you will get useable video on a micro card, and use the drone camera only to FPV navigate. I think this may be part of a wide marketing campaign to get people to buy new 5 GHz Wi-Fi cellphones. A step backwards as far as photo-technology goes. I would get the JJRC-X9PS Heron (or C-Fly Dream) at this price range. Don't you wonder why there are no drones under 250 grams that compare with the Mavic Mini? Look up the Chinese word for monopoly.

@@brixtervillaruel Mavic mini is tricky as the board in the battery detects the cells have been changed and throws an error message when you turn the drone on. Quite a few posts on forums about it. Someone made a new board to fool the drone into thinking it has a normal battery fitted, but you can't buy them.

What is the cheapest drone i can buy for surf fishing(from the beach)? I would assume the bigger factor drone is better? Load is most important(most bait and sinker(the weight to prevent fishing line from moving around) is around 250g, secondary is wind stability and , Last is range (200-500m)
