just ordered and got mine today, same day delivery. I own a couple benchmades and a spyderco, this is my third cjrb. I've been surprised by the quality of these knives. granted I haven't beaten this knife like my 940 but I'm sure if you kept maintenance on it, this knife would hold up just fine. They could charge twice the amount and still be worth it. So if anyone is thinking about picking it up, go for it.

Hi. I’m glad you like it. I want to purchase one but some say the point of the blade can poke a finger when it’s close. I doubt it but wanted to have another opinion. I really dig this knife. Blue or green they’re awesome. Thanks for sharing.

@@haunstia1629 personally it’s never bitten me. My spyderco paramilitary 2 however stabbed me in the thigh getting into my car. No more tip down carry for me.

Couldn't agree more. Such a great knife and only $30. I wish they'd make the same exact knife with better knife steel, but that being said it's great for the money.

The Remette Rhino you mentioned is 30% off right now. You have to click on the coupon thing that Amazon just started doing. Currently 38.50 before tax and all that according to the cart. Is the Pyrite worth it for only 8 bucks less or should I go with the Rhino if I was going to only pick up one?

Rhino is great and thanks for the heads up on the sale price, but it's closer to 4 oz than 3 oz. I won't carry a knife over 3 oz unless it has other tools going on (e.g., SAK). Plenty of great lightweight EDC options under 3 oz.

I just got the CJRB Pyrite and I really like it! It is very light and is a smooth operator. I do hope they come out with some in micarta scales soon. If they do I will pick up another one!

It’s good for the price. The integrated plastic scales make it feel somewhat cheap but it’s decent. IMO the Civivi Mini Praxis is a little better in that it feels better with it’s G10 scales and it was a bit cheaper.

I have one, love them aside for them having the screws on either side of the pivot. For me, the pyrite always end up loose with blade okay. Embarrassingly, I think I have 7 pyrite variations. Every time I'm wising the same thing, I wish they had the one sided screw.

They really struck a cord with the pyrite line. Also fwiw they walked back their claims about their proprietary steel. Essentially chalking it up to ignorance; they said their marketing dept didn’t understand the technical aspects of they were saying.
