The "Buff Monkey" Deep Cleaning A Dirty R32 GTR Skyline! Complete Car Detailing Transformation!

This 1990 Nissan R32 GTR Skyline is in for our New Car Platinum treatment! Starting off by deep cleaning and decontaminating the exterior of the car. Once properly cleaned, the paintwork is inspected for possible defects such as scratches, swirls and overspray caused by improper washing and buffing techniques. These defects are paint corrected and then the entire car is ceramic coated with 22PLE Mistaco Elemento which is then infrared cured. This Skyline R32 GTR will now be super easy to maintain and also looks better than when new some 31 years later!

Wait so you just clay bar the car with soapy water and did not rinse it after? Aren’t there any soapy residue? I would give it a final rinse if it was me or at least clay the car while its wet then dry it off before polishing.

The vehicle does not need to be rewashed when doing it panel by panel and wiping it clean with a microfiber waffle weave towel in a enclosed controlled temperature environment, it removes all the residue. When you do need to rinse the vehicle after clay is when you are outside in ambient heat and you have clayed the entire vehicle and during that time panels have dried with the clay residue on them. A final rinse/wash/rinse will be needed before going into your drying stages. We performed this clay treatment in a controlled temperature environment and did a panel by panel treatment their for eliminating any dried clay residue buildup. Thanks for your question! Actually it's called the California water blade and it's built of non-scratching material. It removes 90% of water off the vehicle quickly to eliminate hard water etchings. Been using the water blade since 2002 with no damage to any paint surfaces if used the correct way. Highly recommended.

Why not? What detail mythology have you read on the interwebs that says it's a sin to wash a vehicle in the sun? You wait till night to wash your vehicle? Wait for a cloudy day? Been washing cars in the sun as a mobile detailer going on 20 years.

Steam is from the 115 degree heated water we use, and it was in the mid 40's that day of filming!
