I can't believe this wasn't mentioned by you. We need a drawbridge extension pack!!! Just new visual skins for the old drawbridge in each of the building set styles. I'd love to use the drawbridge in many of my builds, but the only one in game looks so janky and ugly.

This topic has been on my mind as soon as they announced the first addon set for the Stormglass set. Things I would love to see in these three particular set or just all sets in general: 1. Vaults, beams, supports, and buttress (Khitan vaults similar to the new yama ones but in matching wood tones, buttress for the Arena set) 2. 2x1 / 2x2 gates ALL SETS 3. additional roof angles, half height and 2 wall high roofs and coordinating slope walls. 4.2x2 or larger curved walls (This would be great for Khitan to replicate those ring shaped housing buildings that are found in parts of China) 5. half tall/ half wide or just Quarter walls similar to ARK (Those alone would expand Conan building sooooooo much! Hell I just wish they would take a page from the ARK system and allow us to toggle snaps, flip pieces, pretty much bake in the Pythag mod into the vanilla building system. I'm always down for more build pieces and they tend to be the better deals in the bazaar. Thank for bringing this to more peoples attention!

Agreed on all of these points tbh. Given that the devs have consistently been adding a couple of unique items for a while now, I don't think any of those ideas are impossible tbh, probably more likely than ever, aside from maybe baking Pythag into the building system, but I could see it happening at some point

@@bureizukappa Tbh I've always wanted an orientation lock, just a button you can hit to make sure pieces always orient towards the player, would save a lot of busywork of rotating pieces in some builds

I'd say a Celtic approach would work best with Cimmerian style if such a kit would ever grace our eyes. The Frontier could use some rural, early medieval thatched roofs, plaster walls - an overall messy, rustic feel that comes with some Nemedian pieces would work well here. Or maybe they sould do something far more original with it and draw inspiration from Cucuteni-Trypillia culture from the Pontic Steppe (rustic, painted clay+wood) or maybe Zakopane Architecture (wood heavy and orante).

I use Arena for building castles. I would love to see them add things like murder holes, hordings, machicolations, arrow loops, embrasures, etc.

I want Vaulted Aquilonian ceilings and I want Frontier walls that are double sided with the "internal" motif to have interior walls that don't have that slatted outside part.

I always chose Frontier ceilings, stairs and foundations when building interior wood floors, of all "wooden" (Stable, Insulated Wood, maybe Khitan) structures in game, I love its warm tone the most, and combined with Aquilonian and/or Argossean, it could make "classical" mansion with warm wooden interior really well. That being said, while I'd love to see expansion to basically all building sets and even new ones (Stygian and Acheronian "default" architecture!), I dread to think about it's pricing in Bazaar.

You and me both, frontier stairs and ceilings are some of the best wooden ceilings IMO. Assuming they'd all be one-shot expansions, which I think is probably all they'd need, each set would be 1200cc. All the single-bundle building sets are always $10

Savage frontier was my first dlc. Love the inner side to the walls and the underside of the ceiling tiles. Hate the exterior completely.

I was the same initially, I've warmed to the exterior, I think it works really well with Nemedian. That being said, I still don't think I could use it entirely for a single build and be happy about it 😂

@@Eradicati0nn you hit on Bossonian, and in the Northern timber mod on PC, i think they nailed the look perfectly. i know exactly what you mean by Frontier and just like the above post, i use the exterior elements very sparingly, mostly for things like guard towers, or stable roofing since that DLC (riders) did not come with any style of roofing, and just came with ceiling pieces, though their walls alongside Khitan walls do make for good interior walls since they dont have facings like the others do.

We need a white large arch piece like the Stormglass Large Arch. Gold, or a classy neutral wood would also be nice. Using the stable pieces to create one looks too rustic most times.

Lost dungeon should have been an arena expansion set. Same theme, but painted over with arena's textures and it would have easily been a top tier set.

It possibly would have been a bit more interesting, the aesthetic design of Lost Dungeon wasn't exactly groundbreaking, I could still see it being a bit disappointing even as an Arena extension though

for arena maybe get some large awnings for shaded seating areas, and some 2x2 gates would be a nice addition. also the celtic houses are more cimmerian so i'd perfer frontier stay away from that.

Arena could use some Lost Dungeon, and Lost Dungeon could use some Arena... They both seem to have a lot of what the other lacks, but the styles clash horribly. That said, I think a metal roof, with verdigris patina would suit either set and be a nice addition to the game's material pallet over all. A cool idea for Aqualonia would be adding domed roofs like those seen on a lot of government buildings, (I suggest offering dome pieces in 2x2 Square, 3x3 Square and 6 Wedge Hexagon sizes) and perhaps some of the Stormglass Sanctum pieces in that style... Speaking of Storm Glass, Giving each of the god's a rose window with their symbol on it would probably sell well.

I would like to see the market and balcony windows from the rough timber set made available in the other sets. I love the market windows but once I start to upgrade building materials the sandstone border of the window stands out like a sore thumb. I like small cabin builds and mix nemedian, stable and some aesir. I even tried covering up the sandstone window frame with the ivy, but it still stands out.

The Market windows are in the Yamatai set so I would imagine they'll show up more often in the future, but the balcony windows/oriels would be really nice to have. I love them with Sandstone and Nemedian

Totally agree with Frontier needing a bump and love the idea of earth-style hobbit holes . Khitan just needs some more placeables, IMHO, since you can use the Yama. expansion pretty easily to fill in what is missing for Khitan and wouldn't break anything that I can see. Arena...yeah that is my goto for a "foundation" set. I put it in quotes because I found dungeon works the best for that first layer to get your sewer pipes and gratings and then the arena goes on top of that for a few levels (2nd-4th max) and then you can build your base on that. I would say that ceilings on arena shouldn't be a thing and if you want the pitched ceilings then go with the various other sets to figure out what you want. Arena, like dungeon, will give you the stereotypical castle effects. HOWEVER I think adding the rounded aspects would be a great addition to arena (stairs, walls, quarter circle ceilings) and include fence foundations. That would only be a minor addition to arena but knowing FC, they would want full 1200cc min for that which would make you probably hesitate.

For me I find Arena to have a slightly too shiny/gloss finish, if it was a bit more matt and weathered with some dirt or some other sort of patina that'd be great. I feel like the base Turanian pack needs an update. I know there's the bazaar bundle but it's so different with its white silk etc that I find it's of very limited use when used with the base pack.

i honestly love the frontier set. im not too keen on the sloped spikey roofs though. however, everything else in it is great. the interior side of the walls with the painted wood is unlike any other sets interior walls and definitely has that old germanic aesthetic. and i like the dragon scale appearance of the exterior. before the aesir set, i actually used to mix nemedian roofs with frontier walls and doors to try and replicate norse viking age and other related germanic architecture. i cant say i was making perfect historically authentic builds in this way, but some of the results i got were really good. they compliment each other very well. frontier and khitan desperately need more attention than any other set at the moment though, youre absolutely right. id even put aquilonian in that same boat. while the set isnt bad, aquilonia being such a big and important part of conan lore, im surprised their building set isnt the most glorious. and while we're at it, stygian pyramid set needs a serious expansion pack. stygia is another big player in the lore and i think that in terms of build sets, theyve been neglected big time. great video as always though man, youre definitely starting the right conversations and i hope the crew at funcom sees this video, and the comments and uses this feedback to bring us something great

Solid points. One thing that may be useful for expanding on Khitan without just being palette swap Yamatai is to lean on the fact that Khitai is also a land of sorcery. More pieces that have some flare like the sorcery build pieces from the first battle pass. Also, if they don't get a Lemurian or Khambujan build style, they could fold Khemr architecture like that of Ankor Wat into it as well. Green tile roofs would be grand, and the walls of, for example, Han Dynasty China were gorgeous and engraved/textured, not plain planks with red paint. Also brick. Frontier could easily get the more rustic medieval looks. If they don't do a Cimmerian build set, they could lean into the more celtic themes, or they even add more Pict flair. But just having pieces that have the lovely smooth wood on both faces, including sloped and peaked walls, would be excellent. Not necessary to have vaulted cielings, but like the aesir have the install your own vaults would be nice. The issue with what would expand Arena best is that it's basically what we saw in Lost Dungeon, but lost dungeon is made of jank and half assium.

Very good point on the sorcery inspiration from Khitan, it would make a lot of sense and make it different enough to Yamatai. I've still got high hopes of an eventual Lemurian set for Khmer architecture

Lemurian matches it in Game Kambujan is almost as direct a parallel for Cambodian as Stygian is for Egyptian in Howardian lore. While the Howardian lore has the Lemurians being one of the ancestral people of the Hyrkanians, we have exactly cluck all for Hyrkanian architecture in the game. That said, Lemurians getting a dedicated build style is something this one has desired since long before the Debaucheries of Derketo DLC. Here's to hoping.

I'd like more tower roof options, especially for Stormglass builds. You can get castle and cathedral mods, but pointy roofs that look good and fit well are few and far between

The Frontier "furry walls" makes me think of the Jeffrey scene in Get Him to the Greek where they tell him to stroke the furry wall to calm down. "You know how good this feels? I'mma cover the whole outside of my house in this material. My house gon' look like a ****in' werewolf." ...Which kinda gives me a build idea... Arena set would be my first choice as I use it the most, but I'm not really sure what direction to take it now that I think about it.

I like the log foundations myself, but yeah they don't really gel with the set, I'd say 90% of my Nemedian builds have been pillar & ceiling baseplates so I can have a stone foundation

I am at a loss as to why we don't have double doors on more sets. I love the Stormglass double door, but it's too big for many of my builds. Just give me one tile high, vanilla wall thickness double doors and I'll be a happy camper.

They also need to add a separate page to the shop, so that when you get a base set, you could instantly have a redirect button to all of it's additions. Having to wait for stuff too show up in the shop is annoying as hell. As I said be for, if they would have made the shop open ended with all the currently added sets and items instantly available, they would see more revenue influx. But instead they prefer to lose out on money keeping their stupid timed offers shenanigans. I'd even come back to the game and even buy some stuff that I've wanted for ages now, despite all of the latest fiascos that made me quit.

every time i see the khitan i crying i love the chinese buildings and im so sad about to see every the others their got their extra set like stormglass and turanian i was like why funcom giving 2 dlc´s something they really dont need to begin with compare to other dlc´s people have screamed about to get a huge upgrade to khitan, its just feel sad to see every time. i love the khitan when they came out with it it was nice only vbecuse it was new but now when we got the tower of yamatai, i think two set to khitan will bring it on the same stage as yamatai and all the others dlc´s

Sad that CE has become the unbalanced buggy mess that it has. Hopefully they do better with Dune. The gameplay is just so stale that new building pieces are not enough anymore.
