The building of our new Cloister Gallery

Excellent progress is being made with the building of our new Cloister Gallery. Work began in November 2022 to build a new cloister that will provide a covered walkway between the Cathedral and the 13th century Chapter House and Pearson Building. The new structure is part of our 2020s Development Appeal Project and is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. nicely done would have been cool to see this sort of thing for the building of the cathedral itself, with a time lapse camera running for several hundred years :-)
