Oh to have been around in the good old days. It’s fascinating to see how the downtown core was developed over the last 2 centuries. I remember shopping with my parents downtown as a child back in the 1950s & 60s. I knew I should have went into architecture as a young buck. Alas, that’s another story for another day. Thank you for preserving & presenting these. videos. Takes me back to a gentler time.

Great videos I've been living here at 24 Tisdale street south across from the no frills plaza and understanding there was a watermill where my appartment building stands now

"On Sept 1 1972, Birks made the decision to move into Jackson Square".... was that ever a mistake. Who wouldn't have known the way things have gone in this area. I dream for big thinkers and entrepreneurs to breath life into this area, if city council will let them.

By the way I still think it's weird that main St only goes East and king goes the opposite direction West but anyways
