An Executioner wasp sting is a lot more painful than the bullet ant sting. Imagine what that must feel like. Bullet ant venom is no joke as it’s the second most painful venomous insect sting know to man, only beaten by the executioner wasp. One bullet ant sting is hard to deal with, so there’s no way I’d be deliberately taking multiple stings…..The pain can last for up to 24 hours as well.
@Acheron6662 жыл бұрын
@prince Alibabba Let’s see you take multiple bullet ant stings then. Can’t wait to see your video…..Even better, seen as you’re a big tough man, then why don’t you outdo Steve and take multiple stings from the insect with the most painful sting, instead of the second place bullet ant.

I am not a hero. Just an old woman bedridden in palliative care. Since 2009 i suffer from an infection in my spine and it attacks each of my nerves along my cerebrospinal liquid. I suffer days and nights for years, often 8 or 9 on a pain scale of 10. I take high pain killer patches and a lot of opioids in vain. And even we never get used to suffering, i refuse medically assisted death to stay with my daughters. I love life. But the nights are long and not easy.

I never truly understood this level of pain until last year. I had achilles surgery , which involved shaving some bone spur off the base of my heel, and having to detatch and reattatch part of my achilles tendon at an ancor point via screws and some sort of elesticated fixtures. Had my cast on , and 2 days after my surgery, I attempted to hop to the bathroom using my crutches. My puppy that was like my shadow darted in front of me as I hopped, and in an attempt to not step forward on to her , I fell forward. As a natural impulse, I put out my leg, which was in a cast out to step forward like a normal step. Put all my weight on it as I fell, and my whole ankle rolled to the side and cracked the cast. I felt the elesticated fixtures stretch and come off the bone and retract again and felt my achilles move off and on again. I felt the initial sudden sharp pain, and after about 2 seconds, I was on the floor screaming. Not just a cry. But a scream. It took me 10 mins to compose myself enough to look up and grab my phone felm the table, and phone my partner who had nipped out to the shop. I screamed down the phone I had fallen, and I think that's about all i could say. When she came in, she ran for my tramadol and other pain relief, and I literally took all of them with a drink of whiskey. When she saw me, I was soaked in sweat. The dog was barking in panic because I was rocking back and forth, topless as I had torn my shirt because I was burning up. She tells me I was dribbling and spitting as i screamed, and my entire body had all of its veins bulging. My neck felt like it pulled spmethibg because i was so tensed up. Took me 30 mins before i felt the medication take the edge off, which was when I started crying. Which was actually an improvement from screaming. Did not think that sort of pain existed in the human body, but I can totally attest to it now.

@zaebos0079 yeah thanks man. I like to think in general I have a relatively high pain threshold. I don't think I'm tough per say. But I'm a biggish guy. Have worked security previously for many years. Played County Rugby in my younger years. Had my fair share of scraps, knocks , injuries. Etc... I've also had many piercings and tattoos in relatively painful places on the body. Foot, nipple etc.. I'm saying this to express that I don't see myself as a " nothing hurts my " type of guy but I've always felt I've taken my fair share of pain and know how to manage it in a normal way. I can't express this enough. Nothing And I mean NOTHING can prepare you for feeling that level of pain that surpasses your pain thresh hold. It's a sort of out of body experience. It's not like a pain you can compare to. You can't be like. " oh this is worse than that time I dislocated this etc... " It's not the same type of pain. It's not even in the same category. When you truly experience that sort of out of body pain, it really is something you can't put into words. Your body can only tolerate so much before your brain starts shutting down stuff because the nervous system is overwhelmed. Does that make sense? It's not a normal " oh this hurts bad " It's more of a " my body can not compute just what is happening because its too much ". Your body goes into shock. Whilst at the same time telling every part of you that something is horribly wrong. Whilst ALSO telling every single nerve to produce as much pain as possible to tell your body that something catastrophic had happened and you need to escape it immidiatley. It's like , fight, flight. Shock, pain, System shutdown, all at once. And when that happens your brain tries to protect itself but simply " disconnecting " which is this sort of dream like state he is demonstrating in this video. I have experienced it just once. And I promise. It isn't something you can every truly get over. It's like your brain remembers to warn you to never do it again.. My ankle is now pretty well repaired and to this day if I accidentally roll on it. My brain sort of gives me this PTSD flash back to warn me. It's actually sickening.

But if that's the case, how do this tribe of people manage to tolerate multiple stings and not even so much as flinch or cry out in pain? I remember watching another video of this tribe, and apparently they can't show any sign of pain during the ritual or they fail. Plus they do it multiple times over the years. All of them. If the pain from one is enough to make someone writhe on the floor in agony, you would expect that numerous stings over an extended period of time would be enough to make even the strongest person collapse. No matter how poor your pain tolerance is, it can't possibly turn the effect of one sting into that of tens or hundreds of stings.

I danced Hula when I was younger. I learned a lot of things from it. Grace, is the ability to make something hard look easy. But even seasoned pros in ballet or hula, still feel a lot of pain, strain and tiredness when dancing. The trick is, no matter how bad it hurts, no matter how much your body screams at you, that you can't take one more step. In your outward apearance, your face, and your posture, you only ever show that this is nothing, and you could do it a million more times. Dancing through pain. That's what living a good life is all about.

Something else to probably keep in mind, the people of this tribe probably have been stung countless times by the ants their entire lives and have developed a level of immunity to it, so it’s far less painful, on top of that they do this ritual MANY times throughout their lives, Steve has just been thrown in the deep end with basically no experience.

The fact he was brought to weeping, I think makes him more respectable in some way. I know it's not really a choice whether you do cry or not, but it felt from watching like this was more than just physical pain coming out. That it was a culmination of fear of what the pain will do, the knowledge that it was over. etc etc.

This left a permanent mark in my memory all those years ago when I didn’t really know who you were. Years later I put two and two together.... Absolutely horrendous. Why would you put yourself through it??!! Was it just something you did for TV or did you have a genuine personal interest in the ceremony?

For medical research I believe as well as his personal interest. I think anyway

Imagine being in the worst pain in your life, losing yourself in that pain. Having to give into that pain so much you can barely stand on your feet and keep your eyes open. Completely dazed you hear: Let's go dancing
