I am so grateful for this video!! I have been making this amazing bundt cake all year but the glaze has been a thorn in my side! I’ve tried so many different glazes and each one got sucked directly into this super moist cake! But now, thanks to this video, it’s perfect! A million thanks!!

The key is to make sure cake is cool. That’s not a glaze, that’s icing the cake. A glaze should be pourable, and use clear vanilla, or almond flavor to maintain whiteness.
@sady11394 жыл бұрын
Yes! People don’t get this! No matter how thick the glaze is, if your cake it still hot or even warm it will always melt and will always seep through cause the cake is extra absorbent when warm.

Thank you. My grown daughter is always pushing me to re-invent some type of dessert. For her upcoming birthday she wants a pumpkin spice cake that’s cooked in a Bundt pan but she also wants real cream cheese icing that “tastes very cream cheesy” on it. I explained that you don’t frost a Bundt cake. So then she tells me that Nothing Bundt Cakes does it. Argggg I even make my own birthday cakes because I can and they’re always from scratch too. So buying cake doesn’t work for me. I just can’t do it. Lol. I looked into making the cake as a layer cake. But she wants it in Bundt form. I did just find the video on here where the show goes they ice their Bundt cakes. But I really don’t like that look at all. Kind of ‘dead octopus’ instead of flower to me. I don’t like those ends to the tubes (petals). I’m doing a test run tonight and with a little help to keep the icing very cream cheese tasting I’ve got LorAnn icing flavoring. I’m going to try your method tonight and I don’t see why it won’t work (even if I end up needing a hair dryer to heat it up so it’ll drip down better. Thank you so much for this video!

HI, I agree completely! i visited that nothing but bundt bakery and thought the icing looked like ugly fat snakes plus they gave me a small lemon bundt to take home and both a friend and i tasted both, AND THERE WAS NO COMPARISON, and their cakes use artificial something! so, just made Natashas orange cranberry bundt today and gifted to my oncologists office and everyone raved about its beauty! so make her a choc/choc chip, or whatever flavor she wants and then do a regular glaze, a bit thicker if you'd like and i'm sure shell be thrilled!!! GOOD LUCK! Kelli

This is Tori and I came here to say thank you for your smart idea of putting glaze around the cake in circles instead of dripping it. I'm going to make a chocolate buttercream that I'll put on my banana cake in the same way as the glaze. I think I can get the buttercream to do the same thing. At least I'm ' going to try. Lol

I am married to a Jewish man and we are Reformed. This lady is Orthodox, and is wearing a wig. The wigs they use are beautiful human hair typically. She either shaved her head when she married or saves her natural hair for her husband to look at in private. My sister wears similar wigs to cover her natural hair. Aside from that, the cake looks great. I came here looking for how to pipe frosting onto a Bundt cake. This is simple, and I’ll put raspberries on top to go with the lemon flavor. Growing up we always cooled the cake, then drizzled with a spoon a glaze of powdered sugar and lemon juice over lemon poppyseed. Now we make dulce de leche bundts and do chocolate and many other flavors. They’re great for parties and easy to layer a filling in the middle.

Recipe: INGREDIENTS: About 2 cups Gefen Confectioners' Sugar 1 tablespoon oil splash of Gefen Vanilla About 1/2 cup of boiling hot water DIRECTIONS: 1. In a large bowl, add oil and vanilla (or flavoring of your choice) to the confectioners' sugar. 2. Add a few tablespoons of the water and stir the glaze with a spoon until combined, pressing clumps against the side of the bowl to break them up. 3. Add confectioners' sugar or water a little at a time as needed, until desired consistency is reached. Glaze should be thick and viscous, not easily pourable, while still remaining pliable. 4. Pipe onto cake and bang carefully on a countertop to let the glaze run down slowly.

But I would like to make different flavors like strawberry and chocolate... vanilla and lemon aren't a problem because I will be doing mini Bundts. Which one will be sweeter, that glace made of pure sugar or an Indian desserts that they called it Indian sweets, if anyone knows? I love sweet stuffs but I reduce my sugar intake these days coz my ankles or feets tend to get painful when drinking or eating too much sweets. I used to drink tea and coffee 4-5 times a day + Indian sweets jalebi. Anyways, which one is sweeter, can you reduce the sweetness of the glace? Tx

Pancha Pistolas she’s Orthodox (a sort of type of Judaism) and Orthodox women cover their hair because of what the Torah says about modesty (correct me if I’m wrong, I think that’s why? I’m a reform Jew, not Orthodox, so I don’t remember too well). They might cover their hair with a headscarf or knit hair covering or something like that, but a lot of Orthodox women wear wigs to cover their hair.
