Great video. So a few days ago a news article was released displaying a record breaking level of sewage that had spilled into more rivers and storm drains. We’ve already seen how much raw sewage flows into the sea and now our rivers and canals are the most polluted in Europe. The Thames Water invested millions in creating overflow chambers and systems, yet these remain unused while next to nothing is being done to restore our rivers and canals. The level of detritus is shocking to say the least. The level of calcification that’s clearly evident in this video between a storm drain of fresh water and a separate sewer line is very worrying. Cracks and punctures will expel contaminated water overtime and consequently more sewage will find its way into the storm drain systems.

Because the Tideway tunnel is just being finished, it's opening soon but that does not address other areas however local councils have been starved of cash and modern rain water systems have been put off so they are overwhelming the system. I'm really surprised that the content maker is not aware of the sewage problem

Greetings from the States. I recall when some of the big drains under the UK were first posted (as far as I knew anyway) on the internet. They sent waves through the community back then. Have had a number of them on my list ever since. Thanks for sharing!

Everytime I think I’ve seen it all, Antonio proves me wrong. I love this place. Those formations are really nice. Storm drains are tricky, and I can rest assured that Antonio checked the weather before entering. ✌🏻👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻💯

Is this one of those drains that just floods randomly when there's no rain? I saw another video where another group was exploring this tunnel and the tunnel suddenly flooded. It wasn't raining near the location where the group was forced to exit through one of the hatches. It must've rain far upstream somewhere.

I've been in there it's a great explore but can get a bit smelly in places, it's a big explore and I loved the chambers and the long drop chamber.

At 30:00, that "turbine" room, are there any videos anywhere of it, or any like it, in action with water coursing through? Thanks for a great video, how else would we know what it was like. Cheers!

Greaf video Tony, ive seen this drsin before on another video & the water levels were much higher. Water was gushing down the steps at 8.30. Its a huge complex to explore & you can see just how high the water can get on the walls. Have you been in the Megatron in Sheffield Tony ? stay safe❤much love😊

The overflow starts at Alexandra Rd on the B5156, the drain runs under St Thomas school, Burnside Ave, The Orchards, Grappenhall Rd, Lumb Brook Mews to Dale Ln, it runs under Dale lane to Witherwin Ave, then to Sunbury Gardens and up Longwood Rd, under Woodstock Gardens to Mentmore Gardens. It does go further but I've not seen anyone go past Mentmore Gardens.
