UPDATE: Turns out Setheck Halls doesn’t give Rep past Honored, so some of the sources I looked up were wrong. That’s okay though, because we’re also leveling faster than expected with this strategy. The good thing is you can move on to the next step and your Rep gains won’t be impacted too much of at all, and you will be at a good level. Hope this helps. UPDATE #2: Drop the Consortium Rep grind. XP gain is way higher than I anticipated, so drop that step altogether and focus on the Factions required for Heroics. It’s looking like that alone gets you to 70.

Until Honored do: Blood Furnance to lvl 61 --> Slave Pens to lvl 63 --> Mana-Tombs to lvl 66 --> Sethekk Halls to lvl 68 --> Start karazhan attunement --> 1x Hillsbrad --> 1x Black Morass and/or until 69 --> Turn in your Karazhan Attunement --> Shadow Labyrinth until 70 --> 1x Steam Vaults --> Attuned to Karazhan. This also serves you to get a good amount of the pre-bis gear from SL. Backtrack and start clearing reputation quests in each area to reach Revered (you can turn in your dungeon quests once youre Friendly 5999/6000). Or Shattered Halls --> Honor Hold/Thrallmar Rep to exalted. Steam Vaults --> Cenarion Expedition to exalted. Shadow Labyrinth --> Lower City to Exalted. Botanica --> Sha'Tar to Exalted - due note that Blizzard has confirmed that without a Flying Mount you will not be able to be summoned to these instances as was the case in the original launch of TBC. It was relaxed in a later phase. Black Morass --> Keepers of Time to Exalted. These all give you your prebis dungeon gear and most importantly familiarize you with the dungeons.
@rasmuskjaerpoulsen3 жыл бұрын
And if you want to min/max even further: Shattered halls --> kill first boss then reset dungeon (you can even pull the boss without going through the sewer by using the warlock spell "Eye of Kilrogg" Slabs --> Kill first 2 bosses then reset Botanica --> 2 first bosses + the plant trash after second boss Well atleast if its gonna be somewhat close to what people been doing on private servers of course.

There’s a lot of comparisons to the Dungeon Farm strategy vs this strategy that I am reading, and I think both are perfectly viable options so level with whichever strategy you enjoy more. Both strategies have their pros & cons which I think are as follows: Level for Rep (this guide): Pros - Maximized Rep Gain, Revered with most Factions at 70, Less Rep Grind to Exalted, Access to great gear and recipes earlier. Con - Slower leveling process, Less Gold from quests completed early. Dungeon Farm Strat: Pros - Fastest leveling option, Good gold earning potential with quests done at max level, Can’t be Ganked in an instance. Cons - Longer Rep Grind at 70, Limited access to Heroics at 70, Limited access to powerful Faction gear and recipes at 70. There may be more pros and cons, but these are what come to mind first. The important thing is you do what is fun for you.
@justusroennau70353 жыл бұрын
I believe you'd be losing out a lot more rep with pure dungeon farm than most people think. I tested this on the Beta and at level 70 the quests in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh and Terokkar will only give you 10% rep (25 per quest instead of 250). This could happen before level 70, I wasn't able to test this precisely. Still, it's important to complete these quests while levelling.

How much would you adjust to move ALL quests to post-70? My plan was to do dungeon rep to honored in Hellfire, then move to Cenarion, then the next, etc. leaving all skipped quests until at 70 to get the extra gold. Is that reasonable without needing to slog through extra dungeon runs? I have some math to do, but basically looking for how much total XP is required 60-70, how much XP is possible from dungeons, and (if just grinding to honored) what excess are we looking at. That may be my day today, lol! Love the guide - sharing with my guild, and expect most of us will follow this rough path.
@Icosiol3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing with your guild. That helps a lot, so thank you very much. To answer your question, just running dungeons to 70 is perfectly viable and is a faster route to 70 if that’s your goal, but for some Factions you will miss out on some Rep which leaves a longer grind at 70. Cenarion Expedition and Aldor/Scryer immediately comes to mind. The dungeon farm to 70 is also very specific to which dungeons to farm, and different than this guide since XP gain is the goal rather than Rep. Both strategies have their pros and cons, so as long as you’re having fun I don’t think it matters which leveling strategy you use.

@@Icosiol I agree, and I guess need to look more closely at things. Personally don’t care about hitting 70, and rep maximization is definitely my goal. @Icosiol3 жыл бұрын
That’s true, and with this strategy you too will start off in dungeons. Not one quest will be turned in until you reach Honored. The theory is that if you’re in BF and Ramps to Honored at that time, so is the crowd. When the dungeon farmers are done they’re moving on to the next dungeons leaving the zone not as occupied. Pair that with the inevitable layering and you should have a good questing experience. Then it’s on to the next Rep grind from there. There’s all sorts of strategies to leveling in TBC, and while some might be better in some areas they will have negatives in others. Even this one has negatives, but as long as you’re having fun that’s all that matters.

I'm doing the Cenarion Expedition part now. Bought plant parts till honored and now I'm doing the quests. However, I got only one Uncatalogued Species, which is nowhere near the amount you used in your calculations. I'm afraid I won't be able to get revered with quests only now. What should I do to get revered?
@Icosiol3 жыл бұрын
That’s okay. I only got three, and I think what happened is the info I referenced might have been after a patch that upped the percentage rate of them dropping. I am 1,000 Rep shy of Revered after completing all the quests, and you will be about 2,000, but that’s okay. The quests in Blades Edge Mts, and Nether Storm will get you to Revered before 70. All is not lost.

so if you need to do 12 runs of BF how many would you need to do if you do Ramps and if you know how many would you need to run if you wanted to split them up and do half and a half so you don't burn on on the same dungeon I'm only 38 as of writing this but still wondering. I also plan to heal on my paladin so do you know if there is like a sweet spot like run Ramps until I get blank items then continue doing BF.

I found it better to quest until 70 and then do Steamvault, Shattered Halls and Shadow Labyrinth to get revered. Dungeon spamming isn't fun imo and in the ones I said the rep is in the 1,5k~ region while in Blood Furnace, Slave Pens and AC the rep is around 400-600 at most. Leveling to 70 also opened up a bunch of dungeon quests to get even more rep.

So what is the point of gaining honour levels outside of the XP you gain from the quests/dungeon running you get when reaching those honour levels? Do you get bonus XP in those given areas or something?
@svilendenchev99843 жыл бұрын
You can't get into heroic dungeons unless you're revered with these factions

You say at 3:30 to do the Cenarion Expedition quests and then again at 6:10. I guess you mean to do them after you get the Cenarion rep to honored right?
@Icosiol3 жыл бұрын
I say it too quick, but at 3:30 I say do all BUT the CE quests in Hellfire. You don’t do those until you are actively working on CE Rep in Step 2.

After completing 12 dungeon runs for BF and then having also completed all dungeon quests, what do you do next? Is it just me that doesn't understand what happens afterwards? Or do you mean that you just go and do quests in Thrallmar until you reach 10k Honored?
@kskizmir353 жыл бұрын
Do all the HF quests except cenarion expedition ones. (CE ones are located most western part and they are taurens and nelves i think)

You want to do shattar rep before scryer/aldor, as the hand ins provide 50% rep to shattar. Also, doing Auchenai as a tank at 63/64 when the mobs are 67 is not going to go well.

@@Icosiol well, you are probably not solely responsible - the information in the video is good and I thank you for trying to inform and help, my friends has just encountered a lot of people quoting this idea that 'you need to full clear for rep' - which is terribly inefficient unless you can full clear in 12 minutes
