So many people would enjoy the remake. I have played the first stage and just can’t get enough! I emulate Burning Rangers now so I can upscale it but it pales in comparison to the Remake!

Sega are generally pretty good with fans they probably won't put their name on it But a lot of times they just look the other way it's how the Dreamcast independent releases have been able to thrive over the years Sega just looks the other way and then makes a bit of money on the side from people getting nostalgic and buying Dreamcast hoodies and t-shirts etc lol

Yeah Sega have always been really encouraging of fan projects. I mean, not only does it help their bottom line but it makes the fans of their games feel appreciated *cough cough* Nintendo... I mean one of their most beloved recent releases was Sonic Mania, a game made by fans for fans

I like this as a project, but I'm not ready to say that the "Dreamcast aesthetic" is in any way an improvement. One unpleasant lesson from the Dreamcast era is that sometimes high definition combined with unimpressive levels of detail actually looks worse than a jagged 32-bit game where the imagination "upscales" and adds its own detail. I'd enjoy the smooth framerate for sure -- "cold dead eyes" Tillis, not so much.

I only played the original. Looks great for a Saturn game and it was really original. The gameplay is good, but not great I would say. Very short too.
