I get what you're saying about no added section/cars, but for somebody who has never played Burnout, Paradise Remastered is awesome and great value when on sale for under $10. I'd take Paradise Remastered over the rest of PS4 NSF games which I got to try through a cheap EA Play trial. NSF Heat was ok, but nowhere near as fun Paradise. Then again, I'm the type to buy remasters like Bioshock because I never played them 15 years ago

As cool as the concept of having an open world Burnout game is, closed track racing is where it’s at most of the time. Burnout 3: Takedown is my heart and soul let alone the whole Burnout series. I mean, I love Paradise too, but the sheer amount of wasted potential absolutely reeks with this game. The “remaster” doesn’t help it either, _good lord…_

There's not enough retrospectives on this game even though it's arguably the most influential racing game of the past 15 years. All the Forza Horizons and post Burnout Paradise Criterion/Ghost Games NFS titles take influence from the design of Burnout Paradise but few come close to being the fun pick up and play game that this is. And the soundtrack is iconic, 100%. I owe a lot to the soundtracks of these 2000s racing games for shaping my music tastes towards rock and metal and even some of the rap artists that were featured among the mostly rock selection I enjoy listening to, from time to time. I still own the OG PC version and PS3 version but I might just pick up the remaster because I hope to find some more active players to race around with.

So many racing games have lost that "video game" feel. I enjoy Forza Horizon, but its just trying to be so realistic most of the time. I think its funny how people call Forza Horizon an arcade racing game, its definitely not lol. They've lost sight of what made older racing games so fun and tried to just be realistic

IMO, (in remastered) the map screen required the most work to be done. # when selected a road/street it should highlight the entire stretch of that road. there's no option to zoom in (only zoom out is there). # A fast travel should have been added. OR going back to Junkyard (of your choice) via map screen is much needed. # Option to select destination would have been cool. # An option to add a GPS or a dotted line till finish line would enhance the experience for young or old age players. (veteran players could switch it off). # A speedometer to check the speed would be great. # Starting an event via map screen should also be there. here are some of the features I think could enhance the gamer experience.

Don't get me wrong burnout paradise was a really good game. But an open world burnout doesn't really work out and it also makes the races confusing and down right annoying. It doesn't help how they botched the game up so bad from the 1.0 version to the final version of the game. Anyways great video!
@CCJ15S7 ай бұрын
My only gripe about Burnout Paradise is the slowdowns after you get wrecked mainly by the traffic. At first, that is fine since you feel the impact of a mistake you just made, but after a few times, it just gets more repetitive and boring. Wonder if there was a mod for the PC version that fixes this slowdown issue. And yes, I have played the Remaster version because it's included in the Xbox Game Pass in its EA Play catalog. And no, it doesn't suck for me. One of the best racing games I've ever played, even though it's not the original game.

Personally, I don't mind it. I would have been more upset, if they accidentally broke something, but if it functions like the original and looks better than the original, and if it's still a game that I can't stop playing, then I don't mind if things look a bit better, while I'm playing it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, while I was subscribed to EA's player club, and since my subscription ran out, I miss it a bit. The original is fine, but I really liked the improved & crisp graphics. I don't know if I would have considered it worth its original remastered price, but I am considering getting the game again, so that its final form will be the version I'll be playing for the foreseeable future. (along with Driver: SF)

You're kinda lucky that the PS4 controller was your only problem in the PC version. It took me like an hour and Community fixes to get this game to even run. According to steam reviews and other online forums I wasn't by far the only one who had problems. From a remaster I would have kinda expected it to just run when I click play. Also apart from the PC version problems the game still has the original bugs from the PS3 version. Like the not working street lights, sound issues on the Krieger Pioneer or the non functioning mileage counters on some cars. I'm also weren't expecting new features but the missing crossplay is pretty disappointing
@yuri_ortega11 ай бұрын
I'm having these same issues on my ps4 version, also the game just completely crashes with no reason at all, unfortunately this "remaster" was totally lazy and has some bugs and glitches that really ruin the experience cuz you expect a ps4/Xbox one game to run much better

Ya, the remaster sucks hardware wise. Whenever I play it, half the time. It crashes, blue screens. Getting into online lobbies doesn't work half the time, it just says "Couldn't join game." Sometimes, when I try to host my own lobby, It doesn't open the game. Seeing what the lobby is doing and driving no longer works. Only says cars, and race. Online takedowns don't show up. There are so many glitches, game crashing bugs, the GP Competition is technically "damaged" so you can't fix it. And get access to the other countries that come with that bike. Only UK. The Olympus Governor doesn't have its camo finish in the remaster, just a black and grey version of the original livery from the first online only Olympus. There is so many more bugs in this game that I can't even think of now. They definitely just did a lazy port that doesn't work half the time. I prefer version 1 on the ps3 before the updates. It's way more fun in my opinion.
@yuri_ortega11 ай бұрын
I feel your pain man, i recently got the ps4 version and was also disappointed for the lazy "remaster" they made, imo these game crashes are unacceptable for a ps4 game and it happens all the time, it's very frustrating!! It's sad how EA just threw this port with so many problems like saying "shut up and play this sh*t"
@retro_gamer858711 ай бұрын
@@yuri_ortega Ya, the only reason it was released was fan pressure. Plus fans weren't patient enough to let the devs fix all the problems before release. So like all EA titles, this was rushed. A shame too because there were so many things that could've been added or fixed to this game.
