Such a stately looking airplane just sitting there on the ground, and an eye catcher in the air.

Very nice to see this as I am working on a flight sim video with the Cessna 195 highlighting events from 1947 - the year this airplane was certified. Blue skies from the Flight Level!

At one time, many moons ago I flew ne of these for quite some time out of my local airport. It was my first tail dragger experience and while I am no longer able to fly, it has remained one of the most iconic and pleasurable aircraft I have ever had the privilege to fly. I would have a hard time choosing between the 195 and the Other as to which one to own.

And the ...."Other"?....... The Staggerwing Beech perhaps?

My AMT school has a 195. I intend to make a play for it once I've got it airworthy.

My ex boss, Clifford C. Crabs, (now deceased), had a 195 for most of the time I knew him. He participated in various 195 seminars at Oshkosh for decades. He was a NASA test pilot and member of the Quiet Birdmen. If any of you remember Cliff, please reply to this comment.

I knew Cliff well. He was an active supporter of “all things aviation” and especially of the Cessna 195. Thanks for reminding me of him. He is truly missed.

This is the airplane equivalent of a 1940s car. It looks old but dignified in its age.

Great airplane. I know 2 people that own these and they say the same thing. They love them but they are always in need of something.

This is the Ford model T of airplanes. It's one of a handful designs that has a modern base shape, but all of it's features scream vintage. I love the Cessna 195 to death.

I saw two cf- registrations in this video. I was amazed. There was a derelict one at my local air park for a million years that I always dreamed of fixing up. Only problem was that I was 11 and had no knowledge or cash lol

Beautiful! There's a red and white one in the local airport's hangar, in good condition, but I've never seen it fly and don't know the owner. And the city, who got ownership of the historical hangar (built in 1936) last January, wants to evict all the aeroplanes from there and turn it into some kind of event space... I really hope OH-CSC finds a new home somewhere, as the demolition of the airport seems inevitable.

So beautiful looking, but I have sat in one and was very surprised and dissappointed in how poor the outside visibility was.
