Dude I loved the way you did this vid, it explains the lore, lets you hear the original gameplay and see it from first hand, and also your narration HELPS a lot to get to that feeling that must have been with you the very first time that you played this, I was way to young when I first played diablo so I was scared away from it, I got to play a lot of SC1 and later in life I became a great fan of SC2, never had the chance or the interest of playing any of the Diablo games, however the announcement of Diablo 4 caught my attention and I was looking for some info about the lore, (You know I like enjoying Blizz games they always go the extra mille with the lore) and they I found this video, DUDE you the real MVP, I don't think I can enjoy the original Diablo as much as I would a few years ago, but this video really does help I hope you have the time to go through all the 3 games up to the begining of diablo 4! Wasn't the Butcher always just a super unique Overlord though? Same with The Smith?
@HivisoftheScale3 жыл бұрын
@@charlieprince8671 actually, no. I Diablo 1 there was a monster type called the "Overlord" which was a big beefy, naked Demon who acted as walls of gressy flesh to protect their masters. What defined the Butcher was, not only did he appear much MUCH earlier in the game than the other Overlords, but he also brandished a weapon. The (I like to think) cursed Butcher's Cleaver. The smith, who appeared in Diablo 2 was a kind of an old call back to Diablo 1, and his model was used only one other time in that game, as Hephasto the Armorer in Act 4. Diablo 3 seemed to imply that the butcher you fight there is simply one of a race if similar creatures all called "Butchers". Which both disappointed and amused me. I try to a imagine a hot pit on hell with a mass of butchers wandering back and forth, all repeating "Fresh Meat" in various ways... Whew! Sorry about the long reply...!
