The butterfly that brought down a bridge

You've probably heard of the Butterfly Effect - the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil can set off a tornado in Texas. But what does that mean, really? Here's a few examples of systems that exhibit what's known as 'sensitive dependence on initial conditions': complex pendulums, the weather, the infamous Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and even the Solar System itself!
