Beautiful Vocal Blend. My Husband played this song on the canal boats in Pa for 15 years.. This was always a song that was Loved by all. So Romantic , in an idiom that captures that feeling of a new innocent young Love ready for court & Spark!!!

On this day in 1967 {July 29th} the Byrds performed "Have You Seen Her Face" on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... One month earlier on June 10th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #74 and spent 4 weeks on the Top 100 chart... The song was written by the group's bass player Chris Hillman... R.I.P. Mr. Clark...

Fine job. Used to play this on the Rickenbacker 12. Very tasteful bending of the notes. I like how you added your own walk down on the last verse. Key of b minor with the second 12 string guitar capo set up has a unique sound. Killer lead riff!!! You make Hillman Proud ! Jim Silk (Guitarist, Mandolin, Vocals, Composer)

I wish that if the Byrds ever got together again (hard to do without Gene Clark) or the Buffalo Springfied for that matter - that you and your friends were somewhere on stage to make sure that they captured the essence of their original recordings. Your voices are awesome but I must admit that the sound out of the electric guitar is something I have missed for so long - I wish Stephen played it like that.

The best song from that Mamas and Papas set was 'Monday Monday' - check the bass out towards the very end.. I've heard it so many times yet still cringe LOL I reckon he was taken care of by firing squad soon after the gig.. lol But thats what happens when you decide to CLOSE an event instead of opening.. days of hardy partying caught up with them.. shame really as the festival was their baby.

Hey Jeff.. It's one of my favourites too.. have you heard the Monterey live cut? Boy, the whole set is so bad it's GREAT. Hey Joe has gotta be my favourite tho.. Crosby just didn't give a shit haha. ~Sonya

probably cos Cros knew his days were numbered. mind you no worse than the outtake version of the Springfield set. for a guy who was known for great harmonies it almost seemed like he was sabotaging their set by not singing anything other than unison to Richie's part. but you're right it's one of those "so bad it's great" situations for sure! mind you the one that takes the cake is the Mamas and Papas' set! LOL

I always liked this song but thought McGuinn's bizarre trippy guitar licks just didnt suit what really is a country pop song. The leads here are country and yet keep McGuinn's style. The Byrds always overdid the vocals ie. multi-tracking every song. I think your version is way more organic and probably what Hillman evnisioned when he wrote the song before it got The Byrds formula tratment.
