My two biggest influences The Byrds and Buddy Holly.

About a year earlier one hearing of the Stones doing this turned me into a instant Stonesmaniac. Thank you "WBZ, Radio 103, the spirit of New England"* where you heard a lot of the good stuff first. The Byrds, my favorite American band, aren't bad but I'll take Mick and Brian et al. *50,000 Watt station in Boston, that came in loud and clear in NE Ohio at 8 sharp every evening. Homework? What's that?

Nice shot of Michael Clarke on Bamba drums.

I wonder who added the bluesy lead guitar licks.

Judging from the tone of the Telecaster, it may have been James Burton, who was in the house band of Shindig called the Shindogs at the time.

The arrangement of this song copies The Stones version released in 1964. The result is ok but Mick & the boys excelled at playing Rock n' Roll.

Essentially a copy of The Rolling Stones version from a year prior. The solo might be better on this version but I think Clark could have done a better job on harp. Still it’s not bad especially for a folk rock band.
