My theory on the "400" badge is that since GM assumes the XT6's main competition will be the Mercedes GLE 350, having a slightly higher number on the tailgate, even if it essentially means nothing, will have people subconsciously assume it's a better vehicle.
@Aaronaitor5 жыл бұрын
What they do to come up with the numbers is pretty stupid, but I’m pretty sure that it’s really good marketing. Lexus and Mercedes use big numbers on their cars like this, so Cadillac thought it was a good idea to do it to theirs too.

M R You’re not missing out on much I was in the market for 2016 5-series but ended up buying 2017 CTS and I regret it. Ride is much rougher in the Cadillac even though I got the magneride suspension and the transmission actually has a class action lawsuit against it, check it out it’s the GM 8-speed (GM 8L45). Compared to the ZF you get in the 5 series it is utter garbage and yet the Cadillac dealer says it’s working fine. On the highway it looks for highest gear to the point where the whole Powertrain shakes like a manual trans that is lugging, it jerks forward after auto start-stop at the traffic light. All in all Audi bmw and Benz have a MUCH better quality to them and I wish I had gotten a year older 535ix or e350 instead.

I dropped $43,900 on my Kia Cadenza in 2014. Test drove the Avalon and Cts as well, The Cadenza had better styling, much better ride, it was also noticeably more quiet inside than both the Toyota or Cadillac, that's why I chose it. Hasn't given me a single issue so far, just surpassed 110k miles. It really says something when people are choosing Kia's over Cadillacs nowdays.

Cadillac's explanation for the power number badge is for hierarchy.. A 300 model is lesser than a 400 model. This will make more sense when Cadillac eventually switches to an EV-based lineup, where it will help signify the torque and/or battery range. A clever and unique idea imo. At least Caddy's number badge actually stands for something specific to the car/engine, unlike BMW's 28, 35, 40, 55, etc etc and MB's 220, 250, 300, 350, 450, 560, etc, which used to signify engine size, but now has turned into pure mumbo-jumbo.

I sat in one of those over the weekend. Great looking vehicle. Was priced at 51K. Do you think that's a good value? - That's an honest question as I'm not into bashing people for their choices. At a glance I think I would go Palisade or Telluride.

@@chucknorris5141 I love it! Great fuel economy and looks and performs great!

Instead of using 400 nm as a badge they should've just used the width of the storage bin instead. It makes about as much sense

I would take the Kia telluride over this My choice tho
@PWCDN5 жыл бұрын
@Daniel Hernandez You can get either one decked out for the same price. I would choose either one! Wish there was a Kia outside, Palisade inside option.

Love your videos. Thanks to you guys I ended up buying the 2020 RDX after watching your review on it. You guys were spot on. Thanks for the help.

Damn, my Great Dane won't fit in this either. Suburbans just aren't my thing.

This XT6 is basically just a rebadged Buick Enclave, GMC Arcadia and Chevy Traverse, which are all built on the same platform. Because of this, a much better value is an Enclave Avenir, a GMC Acadia Denali, or Chevy Traverse High Country. They all ride similarly, are all luxurious, and have similar accoutrements. You pay a hefty premium for the Cadillac nameplate and styling, as well as for servicing and repairing them on down the road.

I would say the XT6 looks better than the Escalade

Unfortunately, it looks completely uninspired both in video and in person. What is going on with GM design these days?

GM always late a few years redesigning

the crappy third row access makes it pointless, you buy the third row to use the third row even if its a few times a year

Cadillac has fallen so damn far... way to go bean counters - you ruined the launch of another new model for the brand (XT4 is rolling garbage)
@ttamcc.46745 жыл бұрын
Riyad Kalla dude that’s your opinion nobody else’s.So far it’s doing real good. Besides wtf did u watch this video if you hate Cadillac, that’s just stupid on your part.

@@ttamcc.4674 I have a soft spot for Cadillac - I want them to step away from bean-counter-GM-style execution and back into making something special. I watched the review because with every release I HOPE they get there, but they just can't seem to get out of their own way. "It's doing real good" is not correct... that is YOUR opinion. The XT6 has sold ~4500 in the US since it's launch in *APRIL* - just to help you out here, that is not "real good".

It’s a stunning suv! It’s obviously not the “best vehicle” in the segment, but not every vehicle can be

400 has to be the dumbest thing an automotive company has done for a name yet. Then there is the fact that a "luxury" 3 row has all carbon fiber trim on the dash that looks so out of place and tacky. I'd take a loaded Hyundai Pallisade over this all day

So rounded up this SUV is 100K? Nah it’s too much

This thing is strange! Yes, it's better than the Palisade (barely), but it's a LOT more money. But it doesn't even compare to the new X7 or GLS, except it's quite a bit cheaper. Maybe it's a cheapo luxo SUV?

15:57 - I think the XT6 slots very well between two garbage cans. And that 400 badge.. woooooow, that is a new low.

XT6 looks much cooler than the Aviator IMHO and you better read up on the Aviator recall !!! XT6 all the way.

That’s even worse than Jeep and their “Trail Rated” lick n sticks.

Wanna Know what’s crazy? I’d take this over Lincoln Aviator. The Aviator is overdone and overpowered, although this can use a bit more power but I’d prefer this over that Lincoln but would take the Telluride over this.
