There was quite a choir of birds today. All led by the rooster. I think I heard a couple of other songbirds with the robins today. Should hear them again tomorrow. Afternoon Mike. What a gorgeous morning for the Zephyr's daily stop. No hissy fit today made the stop almost boring (chuckle). Looks like Ft Morgan is getting some beautiful weather. We're getting lower temps for a few days, then headed towards 100 by the end of this week. It's hardly even spring, and summer is raising its too hot head around here. LIFE! Hard to get along with and can't get along without it! Hope you have a good Sunday, take care and I'll check in tomorrow.

Even the thrown food was gone leaving only a sticky stain on the concrete from the drink container. It was a rather boring station stop. Gotta have them like that once in a while. LOL! We are to cool off overnight and stay in the 50s for several days. That's seasonal. Still in a fire weather alert with low humidity levels and a drying wind. Got some NHRA Drag Racing to watch. They are all following the lead of the rooster over to the west of the depot. Fire weather alert thru tomorrow evening. Makes for a non B-B-Q day. Didn't plan on one anyway. LOL! Good Morning Mike! Another beautiful, "chirpful" day in Ft Morgan! The rooster was again quite verbal this morning! What does a geometry car "record"? Never heard of it before. And the light on the back looked more like a FRED on a freight than the bright ones we usually see! 68° before 10 am. Looking forward to a beautiful day here! Hope you have the same! Good morning, Jean; I thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. It is a truly "chirppy" day here for the nonce. May get rough later. Yep. The rooster to the west made sure he was being heard. I am still listening for one of the owls again. The "geo" cars are the same as the Sperry track geometry cars. They record problems and noises from the rails, jostles, thumps and bumps of all kinds without having a real person on board. If it holds true that this car will be dropped in Denver, the memory will be downloaded to a mainframe for analysis by those who do such for the railroad. The equipment is sensitive enough to feel a bubble in the rail from the manufacturing process. But it doesn't do the dishes. LOL! The marker lights weren't the best with the left one dark and the right one dim. No wonder they had the FRED on the coupler. I did notice the markers on the rear of car 8 were lit. It is currently 54 F. with the wind starting to feel its oats. We are in a Fire wester alert thru tomorrow evening. Low humidity and high winds with warmer temps make for plenty of dangerous days on the open fields. Anyway, I hope that you have a great Sunday. Please take care and stay safe!
