Can't help but having the thought that Julian needs to move to Ontario to properly utilize that boat!

They literally could edit this video, replace Julian's name with mine, and it would have been a very similar story. I ended up getting the Cruiser 15.8 based on the recommendation from Brandon, and just a couple months ago picked up my Basalt Innegra beauty in that very exact storefront. Although those cherry outers look absolutely gorgeous and I slightly regret not getting them, I was absolutely smitten by the Epoxy option and HAD to have it. Those external skid plates look great, and I really like the fact that we could always get those installed afterward if we want to. Julian is going to be getting a very durable yet super light boat here - I already have over 150KM clocked on mine, and I have a feeling he's going to enjoy his just as much. If he ends up reading these comments, here's a small anecdote on the boat he's getting. I recently was going as fast as I could paddle, racing around a fellow Scout in my Scout Troop. I hit a submerged rock going full speed, and the rock was so big my whole boat was beached on it. I scooted off of it, wiped it down with some protectant 303 after, and you can't even tell it happened unless you look super close at it - only a light scratch and virtually undamaged. Enjoy your boat sir, and congrats!

Go the Basalt Innegra! I got a Kee 15 pack with this lay-up, and it’s incredibly light (went with the epoxy also), though I do wish I went with the carbon package, not so much for weight saving but for the aesthetic and maintenance. Either way you win!

@@mmmbass6068 I dont think the epoxy is in my price range though! Not sure how much difference it makes..

@@BrettWae I was going to get Expedition Kevlar, but dropped down to Kevlar Fusion with the epoxy. If you speak with Swift about that option they will help with your decision. My boat is as light af and apparently very tough with it.

I have a 13.8 can I add a skid plate on my own or does it need to brought to the factory. Tia

We can do it at our factory, or you can order kits and have them shipped, although you do have to be a little handy. It involves sanding, mixing resin/hardener, applying and drying etc. You can check out the skid plate installation steps here- swiftcanoe.com/resources/
