HP was a product of his environment in the world at the time. His works of fiction may, or may not represent his worldview. We do not know the man. But they painted a necessary picture of "ordinary" life and attitudes of the time, that create a stark contrast to the elements of horror in each story.

The idea of cthulu is certainly paradoxical. A being whose existence does not matter as if it doesn't exist it is so powerful that it could bring itself to existence. Always phasing in and out of realism at speeds far beyond compression. The gaze of cthulu is not what causes madness, but rather thinking of it's existence. Seeing it not exist right in front of you is simply maddening

Lovecraft's amazing collection. I am deeply fascinated by his storytelling, and even more when I hear it on this channel.
