I found this talk to Congress 5 yrs. After it was said. I am a true follower of Bishop Barron for 10 yrs. This man has helped save my life many times. As I scanned this audience I recognized many members of Congress. I follow our Government very intently on a daily basis. These attendees in my view walked away from this beautiful presentation taking nothing with them. There hypocrites and are helping destroy our country. So sad for them and us (we the people).

I'm not so sure about that. People like Bishop Barron and other faithful Christians plant seeds of truth by their words, actions, and prayers. Everyone who went to that talk did so voluntarily. We cannot really judge what they got from it, or if might remind their memory sometime in the future. For some conversion is immediate, and for others it happens over time or in layers. To me, the very fact that politicians invited a good bishop to speak is a sign of something good stirring.

If you even recognise the fact that we are all sinners, you will also recognise that God has permitted the confusion we now face. Controversy is unnecessary because the message of Christ is profound yet simple. Live in its simplicity and we find no need to be entwined in the complexities of the world. Hope perseveres. Love sustains the will when faith and hope are placed on trial. We can chose to spread the message of hope and love to sustain a wavering faith. Or add to confusion.

Catching up with this video in March 2022, with war in Ukraine, born in the mind of a seeming madman who does not recognize that each person (even one’s enemies) has dignity & is created equal in essence (God’s law). I am grateful to live in USA, where we can point to these principles of equality and justice for all. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, may you continue to give Glory to God to whom we all serve. There is Hope as long as we keep the faith. There is goodness in everyone and talks like this inspired by the Holy Spirit will stir that goodness in their hearts, we just have to trust in GOD's salvation plan for the whole world.
