Hi Bishop Barron, i’m from the Philippines, this speech is a ‘must hear’ for all our politicians and voters as we prepare for our national elections in May 2022. Listening to you reminds me of my CICM philosophy professors in college. You are doing great work in evangelization. I pray that you be blessed with great health and long life so that you can continue this ministry. Our prayer group uses your talks as guide for our spiritual journey. God bless you dear Bishop!

I found this talk to Congress 5 yrs. After it was said. I am a true follower of Bishop Barron for 10 yrs. This man has helped save my life many times. As I scanned this audience I recognized many members of Congress. I follow our Government very intently on a daily basis. These attendees in my view walked away from this beautiful presentation taking nothing with them. There hypocrites and are helping destroy our country. So sad for them and us (we the people).

…. 💔 I just stopped to look at when this was released, because I haven’t seen anything change in Congress recent history for the better….

I'm not so sure about that. People like Bishop Barron and other faithful Christians plant seeds of truth by their words, actions, and prayers. Everyone who went to that talk did so voluntarily. We cannot really judge what they got from it, or if might remind their memory sometime in the future. For some conversion is immediate, and for others it happens over time or in layers. To me, the very fact that politicians invited a good bishop to speak is a sign of something good stirring.

Thank you Bishop Barron, I am from a Pentecostal Charismatic persuasion and must say that having listened to many of your messages I find that, in 'our' part of the body of Christ, we are in need of teaching such as yours. To date there is nothing that you have spoken that I cannot agree with. Like others, I too hope to be able to present these 'self evident truths' to those who will listen to me speak. I have learnt many 'in depth' truths in the past 12 months from you. Fortunately I remember well when God called me to ministry, 4 months after giving my life to Him, when the Elders laid their hands on me (exactly as we read in 1 Timothy 4: 14-16) immediately before being sent on 'Mission' to India. May god continue to bless abundantly your calling and ministry. Thank you. John Meadows.

I worry that many of these congress men and women will walk out with out taking any of these words deep inside themselves. Jacegil, I am sorry that it sounds like you have lost hope. I for one have moved on from that. I trust in Christ that he will be with the church through the end of time and he will use everything that is happening in the church for a greater good than any could imagine, as he always has in our history. My focus is to grow in holiness and get out and evangelize. There is much work to do and little time to waste on things I can’t control.
@wenshan91015 жыл бұрын
@Jose Catt call anyone by any number of names and it will not fill the void in our existence. If you even recognise the fact that we are all sinners, you will also recognise that God has permitted the confusion we now face. Controversy is unnecessary because the message of Christ is profound yet simple. Live in its simplicity and we find no need to be entwined in the complexities of the world. Hope perseveres. Love sustains the will when faith and hope are placed on trial. We can chose to spread the message of hope and love to sustain a wavering faith. Or add to confusion.
@wenshan91015 жыл бұрын
@jacegil do you know him personally? Have you spoken to him on those topics? A judgment base on hearsay and conjectures is unsupportable. I understand your concerns but you must realise that restraint is often of courage, not cowardice. He has his ministry to consider. And it affects millions. Divisiveness has never been a position of the church because Christ exhorted us to be one. My reply to Jose Catt may be of some relevance.
@wenshan91015 жыл бұрын
For 15 generations, my ancestors were born into the faith, lived the faith and died in the same faith. And through rise and fall, change and decay, God preserved the family. On the day of my confirmation, my dad marked my forehead with the letters 'INRI' and the sign of the cross, and said, "Son, never lose hope whatever life throws at you. Remember, God permits it only because He will see you through". Hope never once left me, even at the darkest hour of my life. God chose me, I couldn't have chosen Him. The wisest thing I ever did was to surrender.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, may you continue to give Glory to God to whom we all serve. There is Hope as long as we keep the faith. There is goodness in everyone and talks like this inspired by the Holy Spirit will stir that goodness in their hearts, we just have to trust in GOD's salvation plan for the whole world. GOD bless you Bishop Baron and thank you. Surely I'll be praying for you.

I learn so much listening to your talks. This topic was very well chosen for the audience, I just wish there were more to hear you speak. Your passion for your faith can be felt when you speak. I wish we could all share in your passion because the world would be a much better place. Thank you your grace for all you do, and for your guidance.

Father Baron Praise God! I found my soul. I realized that if I am seeking truth and justice and abide it. I already found God. I want to obey, and I want more. I want to fly around and be in union with God.

@@zsedcftglkjh Perversity and goodness is just a matter of opinion. It's all subjective. God doesn't care.
