Thank you Nicole for this information. I appreciated the reminder that the I.I. doesn't always have to be hugely profound, just big enough for the protagonist to become disturbed enough to choose to move into motion. In a way, we see the I.I. as the effect of the causal I.I. when the desire is strengthened, and the motivation is pushed into action.

Thanks for your comment, Jana! Yes, that's a fantastic point about the causal I.I. And I think some of the most captivating stories are when a seemingly insignificant event/decision kicks off a chain of events that spiral out of control.
