Folks, how can we crowdfund Nobbel audiobook reads for all other WoW books? Someone please get on that!
@tiltedguild17974 ай бұрын
Flying Buttress (also on KZbin) has done some adaptions for older Warcraft novels which I have personally really enjoyed. Some of those I have read myself as well, but I to enjoy hearing the stories, especially with a bit of additional flare. Its nice to take in the lore from such folk like Flying Buttress and Nobbel and others, as well as the original authors.

MoP was the xpac which introduced pandas, not BFA. If you’re trying to be edgy, at least don’t show so much ignorance as well. Mind you, to hate watch and comment on something is a telling indication of the type of bitter individual you are. Find a hobby or interest instead of insulting other peoples. It might help you become a a less hateful person. Good lucky with that.

I still will say that Anduin is the best written character His story is consistent in my opinion While some characters have greater highs when it come to writing, they also have some greater lows Anduins writing has always been pretty consistent, I think its because he's been built up from Vanilla . his burdens and personality have not just been spewed out in a single expansion but developed over many

Thank you for reading this. My eyesight makes it hard for me to read these days and I love the stories of WOW. I was not happy with the route the lore was taking in Shadowlands and Dragonflight. It is good to hear it taking a turn back the way I like it. Through the years of playing WOW, I have felt many different things for Anduin. - sympathy for the little boy I first saw standing in the throne room of Stormwind Keep who had lost his mother and didn't know where his father was - irritation with the adolescent Anduin who was lost on the Isle of Pandaria as he recklessly sought his own path - grieving with him on the loss of his father on the Broken Shore - fear for him as he was caught in the snare of the jailer in The Maw and anguish when he did the Jailer's bidding, stealing the sigil and and fighting against Thrall and Jaina - and now I feel respect with this Anduin who is struggling with the knowledge that there is a part of him that took pleasure in doing Zovaal's bidding. My hope is that by the end of The War Within that he will be able to forgive himself and gain some of his power back.

Anduin's personal story is among some of the best personal story development in WoW. Along with Saurfang too. Did you ever get a chance to watch the Old Soldier cinematics? If not, you should definitely give them a watch! Blizzard combined them into one video now: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHXdgZ6KerJ1ncU

This....... I read it first. Hearing you read it was hard too. My brother, a former Marine, has PTSD. I saw Anduin's eyes in the cinematic and knew, without a word spoken, what was in his head. I've seen that same stare in my little brother's eyes. I know some of what he saw, but he's been really quiet about it. I know he talked with our older brother before he passed a couple years ago (stupid cancer...) and it seemed to help both of them. Christie did a hell of a job on that story, to reach into me and squeeze my heart. Thanks, Nobbel, for reading it so well.

Hearing this story honestly makes me sad. Anduin is hurting and broken on the inside... an experience that I think makes him more like his father than he realizes. But I think when he finally does come out of this long, dark tunnel... even if he always bares some of the scars, he will be so much stronger than he ever was. It's just sad to see him so hurt and broken. The boy who once had eyes so full of joy and hope no longer exists, not as he was. The loss of that innocence is very sad to see. :(

From reading this short story and comparing to alleria's i cant help but feel like anduins thoughts are framed in the same way the voids whispers effect alleria, except the voice is his and the trust issue is within himself not a choice between power or morals but an internal conflict which can be just as powerful and destructive as the void or light. In the absence of the light Anduin is finally finding himself and becoming more like his father, a protector of family, a leader and the King we all want him to become. This story shows how powerful his heart is, his true strength is the love and care he has, not the light and not death or shadow but HIM. After all these years and everything thats happened he still has hope, care and love but now he is gunna realise its not that he needs the light, the light needs him.

You're a pretty amazing story teller, Nobbel. I almost shed a tear listening to this. Anduin's PTSD sounds very real, and reminds me a bit of Thorfin's arc in Vinland Saga. My human warrior; Eriza Redshield, is very close friends with Anduin, and was rather shaken by his ordeal herself. Eriza went on a journey of reflection of her own during the timeskip. She cut her crimson hair short, put on her old suit of armor with the addition of a hooded cloak, grabbed her first sword "Redfang"- which her late father had forget for her when she was just a little girl- , mounted her horse Maximus- who was a gift from Jaina after the Fourth War-, and rode away late at night. She traveled across Azeroth, working mostly as a mercenary under the name "Victoria", her middle name. Eriza returned to Stormwind three years later, by that time her hair had grown back to its normal length. She reunited with her friends in the Alliance, and set sail for the Dragon Isles, stronger and more determined than ever.

This story made me like Anduin less. I'm all for him having PTSD, that part is done extremely well. What I hate is how much of a coward this story makes him. He let the guy die just because he was afraid of getting rejected by the light and even admits as much. Just disgustingly cowardly. Then he bails on the only promise he made to look after his family the second he gets a vision he doesn't even understand. And then we know from the trailer he didn't want to face the vision either so why abondon them and his promise. It's cowardly. Then there is also the fact that this family just lost their father and Anduin was stepping into the role, as someone who works with children in psychology that is going to mess those kids up as much as their father's death since it's another huge blow to their recovery and stability. It's all so irresponsible and cowardly. So I like Anduin much less after this story.
