Well this was surprise after all the GRP use in your last video to go from that to no use at all changed things up quite a bit. I'm sure you'll be able to get no save no damage going as well though losing all the checkpoint resets will change things all over again. Looking forward to the next run.

I don't know why I thought of this but at 55:48 when you went to grab the items off the corpses I thought of a term/saying....Boot Lootin since you have to stomp on them to loot their item. The game does have its flaws, however I still find it really good, and enjoyable. The mix of melee and guns that the combat has is really interesting. Maybe a 7 (if I would have to put a score). Your run has given me really useful tips (as always) for my NG+ run

I also think people were too rough on this game (though the backlash for the awful stuttering and performance was warranted): currently on my maxsec run (already finished it on normal) and I actually find the meled combat to be really engaging and intense.

I've been looking at these playthroughs. Now that I've finished the game and the DLCs on my own, I've been considering going for the Contagion Mode. Permanent is not my thing, but I really enjoyed the game and might try it. These videos are great. Lots of skill on display. I wonder if now that the game is in better technical shape, if it makes a big difference, on how it's played.

I hope this game gets a sequel. It's not good, but since I played it I have come back to it many times, through your videos and just thinking about it. There is something good about it, it's just undermined by the developers making so many silly decisions, not really providing interesting lore/collectibles, killing off Elias (which seemed like a time saving measure because it's just so random and unnecessary), and the lack of enemy variety. The blind enemies dominate like a solid hour of the game, I was so fed up with them by the end. I think someone high up had the idea for the combat system and worked backwards, but it's just not a good system. I hope they don't manage to shoot themselves in the other foot by making the DLC a paid ending to this game, can regroup, and give us a much better sequel.

QTES nowadays are just forced upon and an auto failure if you dont succeed. Great mention that Shenmue did it right as even if you miss a QTE, you don't fail (most of the time) and keep going, but alter the path you go and that could alter how the scene would end.
