In speaking with some LGSs in my area, people plan on carrying this set when they've decided not to carry some of the previous ones. I really do think this was a good move for Metazoo to get the name out there. Thank you for the continued optimism, Argos.

Metazoo is only going up. People hating because metazoo doesn’t ship out fast enough but with new management metazoo will be in a better spot to meet demand. There’s always a few hurdles but this kuromi set will set a new benchmark for metazoo. Can’t wait.. metazoo to the moon!!

Argos, sad to say but only your continued optimism and content towards Metazoo is the only thing keeping me somewhat interested in this product... They would need to come out with a hit anime/show asap at this point to save it because the brand is bleeding out fast

Thanks for your support Justin! About 40 to 50% of the orders I had for this Sanrio set are from first time brand new customers. Definitely hoping MetaZoo is able to stick to their advertised Manga/IP release schedule so that old and new fans will have some deeper substance beyond the cryptids and characters on the cards into which they can sink their teeth!

I’m just gonna say this, just to put it out there, I’m not a huge fan of MetaZoo, I don’t fully understand the game, nor do I want to get into the game, does that mean I hate MetaZoo? Absolutely not, far from it, I love the artwork, and it looks great, it’s got that kind of nostalgic feel to it, and I do think MetaZoo can be successful, I’m also really looking forward to the SCP set, Yo-Kai island set. The point I’m trying to make here is it’s OK to branch out into other things, just because you’ve never played MetaZoo doesn’t mean you have to hate on it, test the market out and see if it’s right for you, but then again, no TCG is complete without its haters.

I think a Kuromi and Mothman card is in the Pink boxes. Interested to see if any retailer has the chance to get a case of the the pink variant or if they will be exclusive in some way...

I not trying to be a hater but the lack of boxes moving on TCGPlayer is scary. I know you have a lot of orders which is great but tbh you and Rudy probably are the main sellers of MetaZoo for the entire game at this point. I saw MetaZoo last 3 events at my locals and dissapear. I was trying to figure out how to join them but they ran their events at the same time as my Weiss events at the same locals. The first event had 7 people, the second had 3, the last had 1 for MetaZoo. After that last one I never heard another peep out of the Metazoo players at the shop's discord or seeing them at the shop. Hopefully the game is doing better at other LGS.

Looks like over a thousand have sold on tcgplayer when including the two box set, and hundreds on eBay among the different seller preorders. Thousands of boxes to the partner retailers and then whatever Rudy sells. Not sure how many Fanatics has sold. Then you’ll have Claire’s, Hot Topic, Walmart, Target. Is it 50,000 boxes? No. Is it enough? Yeah seems like enough 🤷‍♂️

@@audrisampson Pokemon is a tcg that has succeeded in marketing to both women and men, multigenerational. Hello Kitty / Kuromi has a massive predominantly female audience, and both Claire’s and Hot Topic sell a ton of Sanrio stuff. So yes likely cute MetaZoo Sanrio things will sell at these stores.

@@audrisampson about 140 boxes of old MetaZoo sets sold on tcgplayer during the month of October and more than that moved on eBay and WhatNot. Then add Facebook, discord marketplace and partner stores, probably looking at about 800 ish boxes a month of old sets moving. 🤷‍♂️

The moment Metazoo gets any taste of success, they: 1. Act high & mighty while abusing/disrespecting their fanbase's feedback 2. Lose all self-control and debase themselves for money. How is this not a red flag?

The internet is, unfortunately, a great tool for malevolent people to dedicate their time to psychological-warfare. In my opinion, the only real way to combat that is for honest people to speak out and to tell people the truth of the situation. Thank you, Argos!

I agree that everyone should enjoy their hobby! But lets not mix up negativity with vaild criticism. Nick strength has some good points about calling out when mistakes are made. The trolls that go around saying stupid stuff yes go away. But the rest can you blaim them for paying 100s of dollars to just hear delays and cancelations? Metazoo needs to bring trust back before building the brand they are doing it backwards in my opinion. Set goals, achieve consistently, then move to bring on more. Bringing in new fans just to show them delay after delay... anyway love metazoo and sad to see them making rookie mistakes.
