Hot take on the whole MetaZoo thing: As long as everyone thought MetaZoo was worth something, and people were collecting, sleeving and protecting their MetaZoo products like gold, no one was throwing any of it away, and so it was not rare, and therefore not valuable. Now that MetaZoo is seen as a toxic asset because of the company's embarrassing chapter 7 bankruptcy, people will finally start discarding their formerly precious MetaZoo cards. This is the ONLY way that MetaZoo cards can be worth anything in the future, is if most of the cards are destroyed. In Magic, cards get destroyed through constant play use. In Pokemon, cards get destroyed by little kids. In MetaZoo, cards need to get destroyed by disgruntled investors. Food for thought.

I think they were making too many sets when they released wilderness overprinted and then UFO 4 months later and that’s when I lost interest. I’ve just come back today because I saw the low prices and found out it died 2 months ago, which is a little sad but I’m honestly happy that there is a limit on the sets and I can go for a complete set of each as the only things I did buy were 3 binders and a few card packs from different products which I opened. Also glad I can get the cards I like for cheap because before it was too much money too quickly for me. If they had made their releases feel more special with less releases and crossovers, I think they really could have lasted longer. Sorry for you though as you did have a great passion for this, thanks for the vids!
