Awesome information! This looks like a must have camera to try out, if only it was a different color than Champaign.

Thank you for the kind words! The TC-1 is a great camera and worth trying if you find a good copy. They did make a limited edition black version which looks very sleek but now its sold at a high premium...

@@TheWholePicture I definitely looked them up and saw the blacked out version. It's not something I would spring for at that price point.

Thanks David! It resonates with us TC-1 owners. You've inspired me to get mine out again and do so some shooting around Shanghai.

awesome video David, I've got a TC-1 that I take everywhere with me an I love it for a lot of the reasons you illustrate and I really appreciate how obsessive the TC-1 lets you be while also being able to do a lot of the work for you.

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the kind words! You summarized it nicely, the TC-1 is a fantastic photographic tool and well worth the tradeoffs for the image quality and ability to carry it everywhere. If you use it all the time it also becomes second nature so you tend not to forget to change the aperture haha but the same thing can happen with a full manual camera so it's really about being present and focused. Thanks for the comment! I'll have more videos like this soon.

You think the tc1 is better and more sharp lens than fuji klasse?
@TheWholePicture
@TheWholePicture 11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I havent had a chance to use the Klasse W which would be a better comparison. From my expereince with the original Klasse, the TC-1 produced what I felt to be "better" images but really the lenses are very different. The Klasse has a 38mm f/2.6 lens which is nice and bright for a compact but defintely benefits from stopping down. The TC-1 feels reliable wide open at f/3.5 but i was not able to do a comparison between these two cameras directly.

Thank you for the support! Yeah I picked it up as a beater but usually kept it in a hard case. Its so pocketable that I can see it be thrown in with change or keys...
