The Wisconsin kids, by and large, bring a certain toughness and a bunch of heart and soul to this program. That type of thing has absolutely diminished on Saturdays, as has our stranglehold on home state kids. You’re free to draw parallels or not draw parallels there, but we need to get tough and nasty again in a hell of a hurry.

I agree completely. I think Minnesota has a kid from Wisconsin on their 2025 class. I don't think that should ever happen. even if that kid never played, it think he should have a shot at being on the team . UW isn't even on his offer list.

@@Lachronix And yet, WI has the #22 ranked recruiting class and MN has the #51. I absolutely want the staff to get the best talent they can, regardless of where they're from, not giving any extra credit to "WI kids". MN can have our leftovers. That's not to say the kid might not turn out great, but if staff didn't even offer him then they've got guys they're higher on.

@@davidp6839 I want toughness and grit over "talent" that will transfer the second they don't get money or playing time. We did much better with tough Wisconsin boys over these soft 4 and 5 stars

3-3-5 only works in Big 10 if you those 3 DT are Ndomukong Suh.

Hate losing Amare Snowden, corner didn't work out but I think he would.of been a good safety with his size.

Schmidt flipped to Notre Dame 30 minutes after this came out, your guy's timing never disappoints lol

damn, he was the kicker we desperately needed.

The NIL is going to limit Wisconsin like Minnesota. You must recruit people that want to work in your game culture. You need a desired quarterback to succeed.

Dike is not a horrible example...coaches change all the time, head, position, etc. Jesse's point is it was an instate kid and he didn't stick, regardless of reason. Look, the resources are still limited and they can't be sending cards to every random WI HS coach that needs attention for the very rare 4*. I'm sure the coaches spend time on the big producers, but I'd much rather have them spend time in more fertile areas too, which is what they seem to do.

Man, the redshirt freshman next in line to start leave the program b/c of limited playing time. We never used to see these guys until their junior year. Is this the new normal? 😵💫

Lowery seems like the primary exhibit of the coaches not utilizing the players correctly. This kid was recruited by these coaches and they clearly knew what he was good at, yet they brought him in and he had almost no impact.

The whole defense was terrible. And that's on the coaching staff. Tons of talent was on the D

Gard turned things around from last years dismal performance while people were calling for his head . Can Fickle do the same?

Amari Snowden is probably going to Vanderbilt. good baseball program, easy football starting potential.

Paul Crist really screwed the pooch...destroyed recruiting

Paul Chyrst was just too old school, wasn't able to adjust to NIL. He's not the only coach that hates the way it is now.
