You could try a 12v source and connect to the compressor. If that doesn't work it's the compressor. If it does, it's something else.

I directly connected the horn to the battery, and it wasn't giving me anything. I was lucky to have Amazon offer a refund once I returned it, even outside of 30 days. I can't be too mad. Now I can work my way up to a louder horn. 📯

The one Dixie airhorn we bought said that you had to put it in a watertight area. That’s why we didn’t install it in our engine compartment on our vacationer.

😂 If I could, I would order RVs without them. 7 years of RV living and it's been so rare to ever want to use the awning. With the lower temps, I'd also rather have the sunlight to warm Balae as well!

Did you find answers for your question? Does taking your 100% structural living environment (Balea in your case) into the woods constitute "camping" ? I think it's subjective and personal to the individual, tied to one's intent and state of mind while there and the choices of activities one engages in, making it their camping experience. Maybe more important is the sense that "I'm away from the normal (challenges, pressures, responsibilities, successes and failures, sensory triggers, concerns, timetables, etc) and experiencing and hopefully enjoying this difference". A huge life gift most of us enjoy on those occasions and crave to experience again. Loved the aerial photography at the end. And the visuals of Balea's roof is a wonderful example of what can be done with solar. She's got her own little solar farm up there. And if your going to roast marshmallows on a stick from the surroundings just make sure it didn't come from poison oak.

For us, absolutely! If we live in our motorhome, we are simply living in the woods! However, if you're part-timers, since it's not somewhere you'd call "home" then absolutely, it's camping (or glamping!) Others might disagree, of course, and this might be the most fun folks can have defining a term. 😂 I find it particularly interesting, because nothing at all changes for me. I still have the same work and timelines and requirements for cellular connectivity no matter where I go since I work from the road. Even when we're traveling in the summer, I'm working. Since nothing changes, and I'm simply enjoying the weekend - be it in the city, desert, Walmart parking lot or the forest! Hard to go wrong, no matter the definition. 😊 Thank you! And absolutely, watching the footage back, it inspires me to continue the growth of solar on the roof and expand for even more power!

Did you try the antenna on the roof? I was in a park down by Florence, OR, with 1 or 2 bars and I raised the antenna about 5 inches and got 4 bars. Sometimes that little bit of extra height can make a huge difference.

Nope, unfortunately we didn't have enough cable length. I suspect there is simply interference being down so low. I believe the company is going to send longer cables. Of course, longer cables = more attenuation. It may still mean the difference between being able to load emails and comments and not having service whatsoever.

Are you concerned with the wood you’re burning and making s’mores with? That wood is treated? Be careful!

You know, that's something I should look more in to. It is so rare to have a fire that didn't have at least SOME scrap wood mixed in. I've heard that they used to have arsenic and the like in treated wood, though that's been banned for a while. But it's always worth learning more about!
