The 70d is by far one the best aged cameras. It has everything i would wish for in a modern dslr. Dual Pixel AF, Wifi, Flip-out screen, awesome usability... The used market is full of 70ds and there are so many lenses in the ef / ef-s lineup that are real bargains especially on the used market. Only the dynamic range could be better.
@klaus96202 жыл бұрын
@@user-zc9tl8bz3h if the kit lens means the 18-135 is stm. Yes that is a good lens. If it is the 18-55 i would rather look for a standard zoom with f2.8 aperture from tamron or sigma. But that comes down to personal preferences.

I got my 70d in August of 2021, after my XTi died. I primarily use it for photos the 20MP sensor is enough for a lot of people but for me the autofocus (both live and viewfinder) is something I am impressed about on this camera. 1080p is the most i shoot since I can’t view 4 k and 1080p editing is easier on everything. I use it for volunteer media and some work for school. To me it holds up beautifully. Also the 80d vs 70d isn’t too much so that’s why I still went with the 70d

Whelp, here's my story: Been taking pictures for 50 years. Went with Canon because my father-in-law shot Canon and he had more money for lenses, which I thought I could borrow. My first digital Canon SLR was the original Rebel, then the 20D in 2005 or so. Still have that 20D. Now, getting into KZbin content creation, where do I go? I went with the Sony ZV-E10, which I like for video, but my first love is still the Canon DSLR form factor for still photography. Add in a good investment in Canon L-series glass and a flash system, and I really miss the feel of all that in my hand. BUT - the 90D costs a fortune and seems to be picky about which lenses look good on it. Where do I go? How about a used 70D from B&H for $440? That's the ticket. Apparently the 70D has a bit of cult status these days, and I feel I made the right choice for casual still photography. Thanks for the great video, loved the flashbacks. Joe H.

Man I did soo many gigs with that camera. If they made a mirrorless version with better features like IBIS, maybe C-Log, 4K 60fps 10bit 422 even if externally, man that’d be such a beast of a camera. Basically the Canon m50 II could be that camera.
@ZachMayfield4 жыл бұрын
Dude yeah maybe Canon is done crippling their cameras, did you see the R5? Gonna be pricey but damn it's a beast on paper at least
@wajikay4 жыл бұрын
Zach Mayfield yeah but I love the compact-ness of the M-line/APS-C cameras, especially the Ef-m lenses that retract. Those new RF lenses are just too HUGE and expensive. I hate lugging around expensive glass and gear. Who the f wants to carry a giant Yeti coffee mug lens. Plus most cine cameras are super35 sensors anyways, so APS-C cameras are closest to cine anyways. Plus technically you get more shallower DOF the more telephoto you are, and you could say cropped sensors are more telephoto. F-stoppers made a great video about full frame don’t have shallower DOF.

Not as sharp as more modern devices and I'd even say looks sharper on some phones for video output, but the colors are still king and the fact you can use awesome lenses makes it not "technically superior" but still gives you way more control stylistically than a smart phone or a more modern all in one compact camera, Its still usable upressed at 4k, just looks a bit soft on the details but again the colors look great. My biggest gripe is size, I hate the fact my phone can do 90% of what a DSLR camera can and in some cases better and it fits in my pocket, it makes it hard to bring it out with me most days, I need to develop the habbit again and stop falling for the convenience.

I like old cameras that was the first ones to come with totally new features. They tend to, in my opinion, to be better than some of the MK-s that follows. I REGRET selling my 7D SO much! :( But I now have a 5D MK2, a 70D, a 6D and the first EOS-m (that one is really built like a TANK, and the kit lens is way better than any other kit lens I have seen). They are all old, but if you know how to use a camera...they really get the job done. And they are cheap. And I just like the feeling. :)
