i was in a car accident with my girlfriend about 6 months ago, and for weeks after the fact, i would randomly, in casual conversation, tell her that i loved her she kept trying to get me out of the car and i couldn't move, and she managed to grab my arms and pull me out and i kinda just keeled over, threw up, and almost collapsed. she picked me up and held me as i stood there shaking and sobbing and the first thing i said to her was "i love you so much." she got the most direct part of the impact because it was her door directly that was hit. she had just leaned over to check the music when we got hit, and her whole door was crushed in. it was so jarring to see how easy she would have been fucked up if she hadn't leaned over our seatbelts, especially hers, saved our shit. it was the scariest thing i've ever experienced, and i'm so glad we're both alive

I got into a wreck when I was 6 months pregnant. Hit the barrier in the middle of the road going 50 mph. All i remember was seeing a woman across the road stop her car, jump out, and jump thru my window to help me. Really restored my faith in humanity. It was a one vehicle accident and she didnt have to do it. I lost consciousness before the paramedics arrived.The Emts said she stayed with me the whole time. I woke up 2 days later in the ICU on a ventilator black and blue from head to toe with my whole stomach black. My son was fine....born healthy but we were both lucky...scariest moment of my life. I'm glad you both are safe and hope you recover quickly.

He is definitely a tough little guy and we are very lucky to have him. I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage before I had him and another baby after him and i spent that pregnancy in fear that something bad would happen. It led to nothing but stress and took all the joy out of the pregnancy. Don't stress yourself out. You can't change anything (I mean other than the obvious....don't go out and sky dive or do anything totally reckless 😋) and happier you are the happier that baby is. My point is don't let fear ruin this special time for your baby and you :-)

Car accidents are so scary no matter your injuries. I got into an accident back when I was in 6th grade and I remember jumping out of the car as soon as the shock wore off and screaming and crying because I felt nothing but pure fear. It's amazing my entire family didn't die in that accident we crossed 4 lanes of traffic at least 3 times. Wear your hecking seat belts it can happen at literally any moment.

I was in a fatal car accident, and no matter how terrifying it is, it seems like you understand the feeling. While your in the moment you are just still and in shock. Your brain is thinking, “What do I Do?” It is almost like an instinct for humans is to jump into action. Even 4 Year’s after it happened, I cry in terror at night sometimes thinking that something like that happened to me, and it is happening to someone around the world at that second. I’m glad you and your family are ok. I’m praying for you to stay safe right at this moment. ❤️❤️

Last year, My grandar was driving and i was in the back, in my Pjs. We were just on our way to pick my mam up from work, it was around 11pm. and we were only like 500 ft away from the place when this bmw, ON A REGULAR 2 LANE ROAD. saw a chance to overtake since the oncoming side was empty... the guy swerved infront of our our car. nearly clipped us and then span out , clipped a parked van and lost one of its fucking wheels. The dude driving & his friend were definitely high on something... my grandar checked on them and then went to go tell my mam, who ran to the car and took me inside while i cried my eyes out.... It fucks you up.

I was in an accident at an intersection and the thing I remember most is looking out of my window, seeing a car coming at me full speed ahead and accepting death. Like just thinking, I’m gonna die and I’m okay with that. I’m still not over that feeling of accepting death.
@fionaredmond67344 жыл бұрын
I had the same thing happen to me, it was a huge tow truck with cars on the back, he hadn't strapped one of the cars correctly on the back and it started to come through his back window and almost killed him as his truck almost killed me. I haven't fully accepted it and it makes it hard to drive sometimes
@abcdisaster3 жыл бұрын
Something similar happened to me a few years back. My dad was driving us through a road used mostly by large trucks, and it seems one car tried to skip the trucks by switching to our lane. It was right in front of us, coming at us so fast. I just thought "This is it. I'll die. Okay". We ended up on the side of the road but miraculously didn't crash. A couple of years later, being on a steady relationship, going to therapy and having a good time at college, I had to get surgery and thought, for the first time, "I don't want to die here". I realized it was so easy back then to accept death because I, while not completely depressed, was not indeed in the best of the situations. So I hope y'all are a lil better today, even with a pandemic going on. Life gets good.

I hit a median going about 70 miles and hour. The kind that you see on an off ramp head on. I was changing a song on my I tunes. It was totally my fault. Head on with a concrete median. My watch smashed my face when the airbag went off and knocked out 4 of my teeth. Sent my teeth through my lip. I broke my nose and had cuts from glass. I also had a full on seatbelt bruise. It was in the perfect shape of the seat belt. I am talking full black and blue. It saved my life. All my injuries were from the seatbelt and the airbag. I can assure you I would've been dead if I didn't have my seatbelt on. I have never since texted, changed the music or even looked at my phone. I keep the phone in the backseat so I'm not even tempted. It was so scary. I am so glad I only hurt myself.

Soooo many people in my generation and the next should read this comment. Just to make them think. I SHOULD be dead for the close calls I've had from me being stupid texting or being distracted. I really think cellphones should be banned from being inside a moving cab, like a no open alcoholic beverage by the driver thing but of course who can enforce that? Although with technology, they could easily program phones to go into an airplane mode once your engine starts, etc.

Not to sound like a diiick, but I too am glad you’re the only one who was hurt (ofc I’d rather no one was hurt). I cannot even tell you how many times my kids and I have nearly been seriously injured or died because of distracted or rushing drivers while crossing the road. I’ve literally had to pull my kids out from in front of cars who have blown through crosswalks because they’re on their phone, dazed out, or rushed around a corner to save themselves 3 seconds. It’s so bad that I get anxiety about crossing busy streets with my kids.

When I saw this video, I had never been in a crash before and had the bad habit of not wearing a seatbelt. A couple weeks ago while my family was evacuating from hurricane Irma, we got in a really scary accident. We got side swiped in the middle of an intersection where the traffic light was out. We spun around and luckily my instict was to grab my dog or else she would have went flying (she's okay). I was so sad when her and Max ended things because they seemed like soulmates on camera, but looking at this and the genuine love Julien and Jenna have for each other, I can't imagine that love never existing. Had Jenna not gone through that rough break up and time alone after those 4 years with Max, she would never have had that love. Totally agree, at 13 I went through a relationship where I was catfished and mentally abused and it made me not wanna live anymore but not even a year later I met my boyfriend and we have been together almost 5 years now. I'm 18 and I plan to marry him, I couldn't imagine living without him and if it hadn't been for my suffering I wouldn't know what a good man is nor would I be able to say he saved my life. 💟

I know these videos are a few years old but I still feel the need to say this. Not only should you always wear your seatbelt but please, always wear a helmet on a motorcycle (and hell even a bike). I got hit on my motorcycle in a roundabout going about 20mph. Paramedics kept telling me that if I wasn't wearing my helmet I would have died just because the first impact was my head. I also almost didn't wear my sweatshirt that day (thank god I did) and that saved me soo much road rash. Luckily I didn't have any broken bones but please guys, stay safe and wear seatbelts/helmets/gear

my childhood best friends brother in law was on a motorcycle on the freeway and was bumped by a car. he skidded off his bike and managed to somehow get stuck UNDER an 18 wheeler and was dragged about 60 feet. apparently the cars around him were honking to get the truck to stop. when he got to the hospital, the ER doctor who treated him didn’t even say hello when he first met him, he said “you need to go home and kiss your children. you’re lucky to be alive” he walked out of that hospital that night with a mild concussion, a replaced dislocated shoulder, and a skinned knee. i was with my friend when we got the call saying he was in an accident so we were called to take care of the kids while his wife went to the hospital and i’ll never forget the moment he stepped through the door. the boys went and hugged him and his wife hugged him and they sank to the floor and stayed there for a few minutes. life is precious, wear a helmet, wear a seatbelt, and be thankful to the universe when you get home safe.

i was in a hit and run two weeks ago tomorrow. my car stalled just before an intersection. nothing in my car worked. not the pedals. the emergency lights, nothing. i was inside my car waiving people away from me. a subaru didn't see me. he was texting and driving. he rear ended me going 45 miles an hour. my car is older than airbags, older than locking seatbelts. i almost broke my neck on impact. out of shock, i drove away. i didn't realize i got hit, because i was in shock. i didn't call the police until 12 hours later. none of the witnesses did either. don't be a bystander. call the police.

I never got that feeling of relief that she was okay and I pray no one has to feel that moment when you realize it’s not going to be okay. My mother always told me to go to the bathroom before driving and i never fully understood why until recently. I thought it was just in case you had to go on the road, but the truth is actually a lot more serious. If you were to get into an accident with a full bladder and your seat belt hit your stomach hard it could burst your bladder. It sounds awful but it has happened before. So always go before the road!

Nah, they cushion the blow, car crashes are just really violent Their rigidity actually makes them better at cushioning the blow- the car is much bigger/heavier than you are and stops much more slowly. the seatbelt is designed to keep you "attached" to the car so you stop slower too.

Your dogs were very aware something had happened to you. They know when you are hurting. I was in a wreck where my car spun around in a circle and the centrifugal force was trying to pull my body out of the driver's side window. I was not wearing a seatbelt. I held on to the steering wheel with all my strength. The next day I had bruises on my thighs where my legs smashed against the bottom part of the steering wheel as I was being sucked out of the window. Utterly amazing I didn't go flying through the air and land on the pavement. From that day I have ALWAYS worn a seatbelt. If I hadn't been in the driver's seat I believe I could have died. The pulling force was so strong I thought it might break my thigh bones because I clenched my whole body around that steering wheel so tightly. In that moment I knew I had to hold on or I was going to be thrown a long distance. It was such bizarre moment and it seemed like it lasted forever. I still remember it so clearly and it was more than 35 years ago. Very glad you two were ok. And so were your dogs.

99% of the time you're better off having the seatbelt on. It may hurt you, but it will keep you from dying. My friend was the 1% and the seatbelt snapped her neck when she flipped in her car. They said if she hadn't been wearing it, it would've ejected her, and she might've been paralyzed...but she would've lived. Because it tightened, and the way her car flipped, it snapped her neck. So, there is always that freak thing where the seatbelt hurts you worse than not having it on. But most of the time, you're much better off with the seatbelt on in a crash.

He fell asleep as he had worked the night shift and tryed to just make it to the camp ground and he was wearing his seatbelt. The cab of the truck was crushed but astonishingly his body only had a scratch on his scalp no broken bones no bruises he never woke up and he passed from asphyxiation we assume from the fumes the truck let off. But I wanted to say this , I watch Jenna and Julien because they remind me of my aunt and uncle. He rolled his brand new Mountaineer 5 times on the highway. When I got to the hospital he was just being brought back into the room, doctor said how are you feeling and all he said was this fucking neckbrace hurts.. lol stubborn ass..Come to find out the doctor passed his accident on the way to work and said this will be my first patient he is probably dead. Little did he know by boyfriend crawled out of the SUV and was gathering all of our stuff in the road. Anyway he told my boyfriend he should be dead or paralyzed but my boyfriend pushed his arms on the roof of the SUV while it was rolling and it saved his life. The EMTs walked passed our room and stopped telling my boyfriend when they drove up to the scene they thought forsure it was going to be a fitality. He had a black eye, gash and bruise from the seatbelt, bruise on his left arm and the muscle in his right thigh split and filled with fluid from hitting the center dash.. That was June 20th. Hes better now but he has flashbacks and always randomly looks at me saying he should be dead.. Love him I dont know what I would of done if I lost him. I was in a really bad accident when I was 11, so I know just how traumatic and painful it is. No hurry - your health and wellness is most important!

When I was 5 my grandparents and I got into a really bad car crash. We were going to McDonalds. I went in with my grandma while my grandpa sat in the car and waited. He took a nap because we were taking a while. When we got back in the car, neither of them had their seatbelt on. My grandpa floored it, and we hit a curb. We went airborne. I remember jumping over bush. Then we crashed into the CVS pharmacy across the street. The car smelled like smoke, and I remember my grandpa had blood coming out of his hand. He cracked his skull, and he had a concussion. My grandma was okay, but now I'm severely traumatized. I'm terrified to go on rollercoasters and if my parents go too fast I get flashbacks. But this was one of the scariest moments of my life. I wish they were wearing their seatbelts.

glad you guys are okay, when I was a teenager, my immediate family and i were going to mexico, mom was driving, grandpa was in the front and i was in the back with my grandma and uncle. . I was asleep but I woke up to a bang and the car doing circles on the ground - it had caught gravel. Next thing you know, the car hits one of those black and yellow signs and we flip over the hill we were on 5 times. That we didn't die is just .. incredible, we shouldn't have survived that, but we did. We were fucked up, I was in pain for months, had to go to school and my classmates had to carry my backpack and anything heavy for me. But climbing steps was unbearable, getting up as well. Recently I got in a car accident, first time since I ever drove a car that I got in one with me driving, this driver didn't see me ( i had the right of way) and he just took off and banged my side of the door, it rammed me up to the gasoline station beside us, I was going the speed limit 45, if I had been speeding I fear things would have been worse. It is the worst thing to go through this but the worst is over, you're alive, thank the skies you guys are alive, wishing you the best and a speedy recovery.

The reason I love them so dearly is because I know they're genuine and watching two people genuinely tell their story and to be so deeply in love and just taking life as it is, is one of the most incredible and beautiful things about these two.

Seat belts always!

it was a three car collision. i tried looking it up but what i think happened is the PT Cruiser tried merging too soon into the carpool lane and hit them and the taxi lost control and hit the median. then in the midst of that there was a third car but i have no idea what he did. the white suburban behind them called 911.

Watching this again after my own car accident where I walked away with some bruises and major soreness, but besides that, I was fine, and I just wanna start crying all over again 😭😭 But yeah, if not for my seatbelt, I would have been hurt way worse. ALWAYS WEAR YOURSEAT BELT GUYS!!! And Jenna, I had a boob bruise too from the seatbelt! 😅
