Great video buddy, it was interesting to see some of those older style products against the newer hybrid ones

Agreed. Although I prefer stand alone products, both Monstershine and Stjarnagloss really impressed.

Great video. Lots of usefull information - and entertaining to boot. I think that words like «glaze» and «filling» have long been frowned upon by the detailing community, as it is considered cheating. But as you said, not everyone wants to chip away at the clearcoat all the time. And clearcoats on new cars are becoming thinner by the year. I myself use glaze just like you, as a standalone product with a sealant on top to make it last. Hopefully all through the warm season. Interesting to see that some products blur the line betwean sealants and glazes. They do both, and no topper is needed. As such, Auto Finesse graphene liquid filler wax could have been in the test as well. Looking forward to try some of your recomendations 😊

Thanks for watching and fully agree with all your comments. I use a Glaze more than most as it presents a good base for wax. Thus you get minor swirl filling and then the warm glow and protection from the wax. Cheers again.

Definitely a good buy. If it has good longevity this product is a little gem.

Hi, i have talked to john at m&k about cloak, it has minor filling, more a gloss enhancer
@thecarboutique24672 жыл бұрын
That's great thank you. As per our test it definitely added gloss but struggled on filling. That makes sense if that is its purpose. Out of interest, do M&K do a filling glaze as it would be an idea to review and give feedback to the group.

@@thecarboutique2467 from memory no, i think cloak is the closest. Or there all in one product, i would say that fills Pure maybe fills a little 🤔🤔

@@mrlionrocks cheers. Pure is a great product. You will see in most my videos that I use Pure as a highly effective pre wax cleaner.

Hi, As a beginner, there’s a lot of reference to waxes and sealants. Can you explain the differences? Thanks 😊
@thecarboutique24672 жыл бұрын
Hiya Tim, thanks for watching the video. On average, a sealant will be much more durable than a wax and can last for weeks or even months. They're much more resistant to heat, UV damage, detergents and offer better protection against road grime. The trade-off is that they can't quite match the shine and gloss of a good wax.
@timthompson75592 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, but there’s reference to using both? Would you polish/wax/seal or seal then wax? Really appreciate your time taken to reply 👍

@@timthompson7559 Tim. As the video discussed, each manufacturer recommends a different process. Personally I would polish, sealant and wax.
