What you're essentially saying about the power band going from stage 1 to stage 2 is that stage 2 has a significantly stronger mid range torque band. For me, when I went from stage 1 to stage 2, I thought the power difference was VERY noticeable. Like you said, the car gets into boost faster , and you feel that nice torque surge immediately and the engine just wants to stay in that sweet power band where the car just keeps pulling and pulling REALLY hard, especially in SPORT/DYNAMIC. I don't know about IE tuning but 034 's stage 2 tune is fantastic, very linear and very predictable - No dead spots, just a very healthy running engine. With stage 2 / 93 octane Im at just below 400 BHP and 420 FT/LBS torque and it's the torque in stage 2 that is so satisfying . I really love my stage 2 S3 now, it's perfect.

@@ranvirrandhawa7296 it’s held up perfectly for 35,000 miles at stage 2, not one problem at all . Fuel mileage is actually better on the highway when I’m cruising out of boost , slightly worse 1-2 mpg during spirited driving . The car is a total blast to drive

@@Demoaccount-i2k yes intercooler is necessary for stage 2 if you want to make consistent power and not strain your turbo / engine . These engines heat soak quickly , a good intercooler will resolve that issue . When you have an upgraded intercooler, you are bringing the charge air temps down to near ambient which is denser more oxygenated air, which is more power. An intake however you could get away with because the stock air boxes are pretty good on these cars, but I would suggest a turbo inlet and air box upgrade at least .

I am IE Stage 1 2024 Audi S5 Sportback. Going Stage 2 IE after the downpipe, cold air intake and intercooler arrives. I did not do a res delete to my stocks, and I did choose for the IE ProCore downpipe which is high flow but with 400 CPSI (which translates to a much fuller exhaust note) as compared the the cast performance downpipe with 200 CPSI. Hence, I am hoping this overall setup will translate to a classy exhaust note and over-run crackles which wont be annoying.

yeah for sure! there's definitely a difference in comfort, but it's not overwhelming at all - just more rumble when cruising around which is perfect. My only issue is the raspy sound at higher rpm, but i'm pretty confident the vibrant resonator will clean it up and hopefully will be the final setup for me (catbacks are super expensive and a lot of them are just too loud for me with the downpipe installed)

Quick tip! If you want your valves to be open all the time, you can disconnect the cable located near your exhaust tips on both sides! This will leave the flaps open even below 3000 RPM
@JayChesterman

thanks for the tip! you can also do it with an ODB11 i believe, i'm opting to keep it as is just so i can turn the volume down when i want to haha

@@JayChesterman I bet you'll be happy with a resonator back in. It'll quiet down a lot, no rasp. But, it'll be too quiet then. Yesterday, I did the OBD11 version of "valves open" on an IE DP, OE resonator, OE exhaust. It's a nice change, a little extra in the rpms that I'm using 90% of the time. Try it out before considering a full exhaust. Also, my "start" button pulses now :) Among other things, one was for my dog, too. Let's me lock the car while it's running, climate control going.

@@justingallagher4864 i ended up going with a vibrant resonator, i hated it when i had it installed initially but it's growing on me the volume is good, its tame when driving normally and opens up when you're on the throttle in sport, but my issue is it's just too muffled sounding now

@@JayChestermanIt's so hard to make our cars sound good. When I did my first cold start on the downpipe, I actually laughed it sounded so bad to me. You came from an SS 1le, gosh so much car, and I came from a factory stroker V8 with ITBs. So yeah. That. I love the car, it's dope. My dog likes it, too - the turbo whistle helps her prep for the torque. She rides it out pretty well now. Dope dog, too. Edit: I've grown to really like the sound of the car, and those valves open at the back cinched it for me. Ya know, until they don't.

thanks man! with IE for the facelift s3 models (2019-2021) they were able to squeeze another 25-30hp (91/93) for their stage 2 tunes vs the pre facelift years overall imo stage 2 was worth it but stage 1 is 100% the better value because of the power gains you get for the money vs the additional power you gain from stage 2

Congrats on the car man! any tune is going to void the warranty, you should be ok with an intake/turbo inlet but anything that flashes the ecu will void warranty. There is something called a piggyback tune that you can run and most likely be ok with warranty, but you'd have to pull it off the car any time you go to the dealer for services etc. JB4 is the most popular with this platform, it's got pretty impressive gains as well from what i know. @@Yan-st8cn EQT is a great option, Diego Arias here on youtube has been running with them since he first tuned his s3 and is now running a big turbo 500whp build tuned by EQT i opted to go with IE because all of the other parts i've purchased have been through them, so i figured i'd go for a full IE build. i do see a downside in terms of upgrade path from here though if i ever do decide to go bigger turbo, the IE stage 3 turbo kit doesn't yield huge gains over my current stage 2 setup and it'd be super expensive to do, so not really worth it from my point of view

if you still have warranty and you want to keep the warranty than I’d wait until it’s up, if you tune the car as soon as they plug it in at the dealer it’ll get flagged and void the warranty.
