I work making vinyl flooring. super strong, can't get scratched easily, flexible, you can throw it on the floor as hard as you want and still won't get scratched or break. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE RECORDS LIKE THAT??? brand new records are still brittle.

That occurred to me and assuming they didn't dub the music over what he played to her, she was watching the record as it was playing so she could see which section should have been playing. They may have edited out a few seconds there so they might have needed to dub the music over to make the cut seamless. Ultimately, it seems like he would have just printed a record that actually played the music to correspond with the label. Also, they probably cut out a little bit where he switched the 4 pieces of the record for one with lines drawn on it so that he could just rub the lines off. To be generous to her, I'd suggest that she was probably very relaxed as she looked around the store. She didn't expect any shenanigans and probably doesn't have a lot of experience with records so even while she's looking at the record spinning she may not notice that it changes in the music should correspond to the different label.

BTW also the record was not even spinning at the proper speed. Certainly a dubbed audio clip played over the speaker on the record player. And c'mon, did you really think the record contains 1/4 of another bit of vinyl that just so happened to match so perfectly. If he tried this trick on an older generation person, they would have seen right through all of this.
