I believe what happens to most people they show is that they're caught off guard and suddenly their whole reality is turned upside down and shaken, a serious paradigm shift if you will, or better yet "A Carbonaro Effect" and then after all that when he reveals it's a hidden camera magic tv show they're still caught up in different emotions trying to make sense of it all but they can't. That's why in this episode when he reveals it and asks if she wants him to spray her hands she gets scared and pulls back, she hasn't fully understood that it's just a trick or a joke.

Also, it's not true that they are *on* his show. They are on video can be used, if they consent, as part of his show. By saying something untrue, he is sowing confusion. And by saying "No" they may be hinting that they do *not* consent.
