Just by looking I was able to figure it out. The theory is that all the cards that were different went in away therefore there were an even amount of red and black in there. if he takes an even amount of cards out of the deck, there will no matter what be that many more cards. This is the first one of Oscar’s tricks I have gotten without the tutorial.
@MandecoWoT Жыл бұрын
yeah the trick isnt that good
@vinamramahajan79823 жыл бұрын
That was easy to catch, since the mixed deck has equal number of red and black cards, there's no way possible remaining deck does not have equal red and black cards, unless some cards are missing ofc.

Small problem, in my opinion....anyone who handles cards may feel pack is not 'complete' on second prediction with six cards missing. I perform the trick by leaving 4 black cards in the box, do the reveal, when finished, place the cards in box to complete a full deck. Then remove full deck. Repeat as necessary, but prediction will be 'equal' amount of red & black cards. Plus, you end clean. Just an idea... Always great performance's by Oscar 👍👍

Nice tutorial, even a non-native English speaker and has never been abroad like me could understand it clearly. Also it is a easy but very effective math problem. No matter what you choose, the mixed pile is always with one red and one black, so this pile doesn't affect the result, and as we have removed 4 black cards before, the result sholud always be four more red cards, as the tutorial has said, we always choose two cards from the deck, so the result will not change. I was fooled before I knew the secret of it, even such a easy math problem could be so interesting, this is so amazed.

It does show that doing arithmetic is not what most people naturally do. The trick probably works better for lawyers than for accountants. It would not take people long to work this out afterwards, especially with their full deck in hand.
@BeastCake13493 жыл бұрын
There is a similar trick by john bannon called view to a skill. Only difference is view to a skill doesn’t need to have the cards put away for the second prediction. This trick is still good but if you’re interested look it up. It’s available at penguin magic.

Well I guess i am smarter then Barack Obama then. It wasent even hard i must say... It's more about logic then anything els. In a deck of cards the number of red cards *must be equal* to the number of black cards. If you have less black cards then red cards this means that the deck of cards is not complete.
@sawtooth46153 жыл бұрын
Is fooling Barack Obama that much of an accomplishment?
@mikeperry62663 жыл бұрын
I agree. I figured it out too. Obviously the number of Red and Black cards are equal in the "mixed" deck...and regardless of how many there are there, the Red pile must equal the Black pile in a 52 card deck with 26 Red and 26 Black. So...to all those biased liberals that keep "predicting" that Obama had a high IQ, revise your prediction or acknowledge the high number of "genius" level IQs watching this channel.

I'm pausing at about 4 minutes in because I think I figured the trick out. Mathematically, a deck should start with 26 black and 26 red. If the middle pile consists of pairs of 1 red with 1 black, then however many cards are left, there should be an equal number of pairs of reds and blacks. Like if it's 10 mixed pairs, that's 20 cards. 32 remain, so it should be 8 red pairs and 8 black pairs. But if the deck is doctored before the first run, a mismatch can be created. Then if it's doctored again putting it into the box, the mismatch can be set to anything else (which i'm guessing will be 0). Ok, pressing resume.
@ExaltedDuck Жыл бұрын
yep, spotted the gimmick. Changing the 2nd prediction to 6 seems a little over complicated. The withheld cards could be reserved in the box to provide a 2nd prediction of 0 which could then be followed with an invitation to really closely examine the deck, including sorting and counting if desired, to prove that it's a fair deck. But the trick will always run the risk that somebody adept at math and logic would recognize that the red and black stacks should always be equal by a full deck.

I knew it before you counted. That is maybe because I am a physist and it-person, heavily leaning towards mathematics. But the mathematic behind this is more than obvious anyway. One assumtion I made was false. I thought you left some cards in the box at first and taking all of them out in the second run. I believe that this would be a better version because in the beginning - just taking out the cards - the trick hasn‘t begun yet and nobody suspects somerhing at this time. Also much easier to prepare the trick with the lid beforehand.
