I had a theory kind of like that. The little squares change color once they're in the bag. Some feature of light/dark/color change. But tiny little screens the size of a watch face are more likely.

3:20, he is showing only 3 sides of the cube(with yellow, orange and blue centers) and the other 3 sides are still solved. So he just quickly changed the grip of the cube and showed the only 3 solved sides.

He's good, but I'm pretty sure I know how the trick starting at 12:04 is done. The conjurer has 2 regular cubes that are prearranged to the same pattern as the large cube that Simon's been told to guard (note that Simon's not given the opportunity to scramble the large cube). Then the conjurer gives Howie a regular cube (he tells Howie that he can grab either one but Howie isn't really given a fair choice). The 2rd regular (prearranged) cube he pretends to manipulate behind his back while Howie's manipulating his, but he just puts it back the way that it was. If you watch, after he retrieves Howie's cube he takes it behind his back. The 3rd regular (prearranged) cube is somehow hidden in a secret pocket somewhere behind his back before the trick begins. Somehow using sleight of hand he exchanges Howie's cube for this 3rd cube. So now he has the 2 cubes in his hand that were both prearranged with exactly the same pattern as Simon's large cube. While Howie's cube is hidden away somewhere behind his back. Easy -- if you can do the sleight of hand stuff without being noticed. :)

I just happen to be the precocious little kid who used to ask annoying questions while watching my uncle repair his tractor engine because I always HAD to know how everything worked. And that's a part of me that still hasn't grown up yet, LOL I'm not even sure that I completely figured out how the contestant performed the trick I described. It was just my best guess. :)

The first one, at 1:19 you can see a 2x2 yellow square on one side of the cube Simon hands back, the cube he was given back didn't have that pattern on any sides, there was obviously 3 cubes in the bag.

At 29:11, 2 sec is not 1-2 It's 0-1-2. I asked several people to count 3 second and they all start at 1. You have to start to 0. Only one has done it right so far.

Start watching at 12:02 where Howie mixes up the cube. after he mixes, you can pause it in 2 places as Howie hands the cube over. Make note of the colors on the 2 seen sides. Go to the reveal where the 2 cubes shown match, and then look at the reveal of Simon's cube where all six sides are shown. You will see that none of the colors on the 2 sides seen on Howie's cube appear on the reveal cubes. The magician switches cubes right after Howie hands his cube over. These illusions are so easy to spot! Not amazing at all!

Its fake, there must be button that switches to a predetermined pattern, the boy magician at around 14:30 gives it away, after Simon mixes the cube and hands it over to the boy who then lifts both arms up in the air for all to see the cubes, you can clearly see that Simons cube on the face has 3 orange squares along one edge yet when the boy brings them together and shows us every side that pattern is not there any more which means the patterns been changed after Simon hands it back to the boy.

It's mostly newer technology. His Rubick's cube is not a standard cube. Its like many small LCD tv's he can program the colors to change.

The Brad Pitt trick is a very old trick. The Pitt picture using cubes is not the trick but a setup diversion; Look over here, not there. The picture of Brad Pitt is already setup to show later and the four cube is just a 3x3 noise in the picture that your brain will ignore. Note there were no close ups when finished. The real trick is a simple card trick, dealing not from the top of the deck until stop is said. The top card always had Brad Pitt's name on it. Same as dealing someone an Ace.
