Interesting - I learned from the Blades on a Budget channel that 9CR18 steel is almost identical in performance to VG-10, AR-RPM9, and other steels. If there are significant differences, you can probably chalk that up to heat treatment.

Jake at CCE used to say 9cr18 was analogous to 440c. A quick check of other sources says it should be somewhere around 440b or 440c in terms of carbon content and performance.

Hey knives if your looking for another folder in 9cr18 to test the KG pocket knife is pretty good I carried mine for 5 yrs or more and I’d still carry it but I did some mild battening with it and messed up the liner lock… anyway if your interested I’ll give you more information

My dude, it's just the mic on the phone. I can't do much with it until I'm able and ready to drop some coin on proper gear. I hate the lack of control over it but it's what I have to work with right now.
